couple movie reveiws

I have been really bad about watching movies lately. I have to much to do and there are to many good shows on TV for me to go and rent anything. Sarah rented a couple over Christmas and she let me borrow them.......Material Girls was one, but I already gave you that review. Last night I watched The Devil Wears Prada.......it was OK, nothing I will buy but I'm glad that I finally got to see it. Tonight I watched You, Me, & Dupree......nothing like I thought it was going to be. Normally I love everything thing Owen Wilson is in but this one was a little different. Had a few laughable moments but I wouldn't buy this one either.
Where have all the good movies gone?

disappointing your child

I hate to do this. Sometimes it is absolutely necessary, they don't need to feel like they can get everything but it is still hard.
Kaylee really wants a cell phone! I feel she is to young for one but it is pretty hard for her to grasp that concept when most of her friends in school have one! Regardless though I have made it clear how I feel. At the beginning of the school year we came up with a plan, if she kept her room clean from then until her birthday she would get one for her birthday. (She is horribly messy......doesn't know how to keep her room clean for anything!) So we came up with this plan. Has she followed through with her end of the bargain? Absolutely not! Her room has been messy every week. I thought that I had made it clear that she would not be getting one because of this but aunt Skris told me today that Kaylee was talking about it yesterday. When I got home I had a little talk with Kaylee. I gently broke the news to her and she took it very well. She tried to get me to change my mind by telling me that she wasn't ready then and that she is ready now and if she keeps it clean from now until her birthday could she still get one. I had to disappoint her again and tell her no but she once again took it well. We have a new deal now. If she goes from now until the end of the school year then she can get one......I'm pretty sure she won't make it but who knows, maybe with this disappointment in her head she will start thinking about it. Not that I want her to have a cell phone but if that were the case I think I would be happy that that she finally learned to keep it clean!

In case you were wondering.......

I didn't go to Matt's brothers last night. I thought and thought and thought about it and honestly really contemplated on going but I didn't go. I do have some pretty good excuses though. One, it is the end of the year and I have a TON of stuff to do at work. I have been working late all week and two, I had to go to the gym and get my last 3 days in so I can get paid back for this quarter. I have until the end of the month to do it.....wish me luck!
So as you can see they are pretty good excuses. I still feel guilty (But I am sure it will pass) I am positive if the roles were reversed Matt would have came with me.

Santa brought the babies 4 new toys!

And 2 of them lovely Jackie has already destroyed! What a dog.....I swear to you he races to see if he can beat his time from the last toy he destroyed!
Look how cute they are with each other, sitting next to each other and chewing on the toy! They are such good friends!

Merry Christmas, Merry Christmas, Merry Christmas............

I can not believe this day over! There has been so much excitement built up all over it and now it is over. Let me start at the beginning........I am still waking up with the lovely headaches but once I get some meds down my throat and start moving it seems to subside (at least that is how it has been the past 2 days) I am starting to wonder if now it is all in my head.......Might have to try that theory tomorrow by not taking any meds. (I'll let you know if I attempt this conquest)
Saturday evening Matt and I went and did a little bit more shopping. With the money that mom sent us we went and bought a chiminea for the back yard. (thank you Scott and Sher for introducing us to these, love them! They are so relaxing) Then we went and bought some food for Christmas dinner. We stayed gone a couple hours but it was fun even though we had to deal with the "crazy" last minute shoppers. Maybe we were more relaxed because we knew we were done? We took the kids and papa and looked at Christmas lights. That was fun.
Sunday we didn't do a lot but lay around and be lazy. We went to mass but it was the 7:30 one rather then midnight mass. It was very enjoyable, it normally is but we didn't have to deal with all the people that attend midnight mass. At the end of it Father asked if there was any children who wanted to let everyone know what they asked Santa for. Lots of kids chimed in but I am sure I don't have to tell you that my kids wouldn't say a word. Kaylee just smiled and told me that she was to shy and Aaron said no and put a scowl on him face (I swear this child!) So we listened to all the other children. Father said at the end to please do him a favor and say a little prayer for Santa when they got home and that when they were opening their presents Christmas morning to remember to be grateful and to remember that it is Jesus' birthday. It was so touching........I have done it absolutely no justice as to how father put it......I apologize for that, just believe me that it was very touching. Before we left for church Aaron was brushing his teeth and all of a sudden he dropped his tooth brush in the sink and ran to the toilet saying "I have to go to the bathroom!" He had some diarrhea but afterwards said he felt better so off we went to church. Now after church he had Matt take him in the restroom and he had diarrhea again. We drove home and he fell asleep. Matt stopped at wal-greens to see if we could get some firewood. While in the store Aaron woke up crying to me that his tummy hurt. I sent Kaylee in to tell him to get some meds. After what seemed like FOREVER, they both returned to the car with medicine and firewood in hand. We headed for home. I gave Aaron his meds and he was off to the bathroom again! He climbed into bed and asked me to finish writing his Christmas list for him. He ended up coming back out to the living room (I think he was scared) and then back to the bathroom again he went. This poor baby just kept having to go to the bathroom. He was sitting in the living room (as I tried to find something for him to eat to settle his tummy) and this time he decided to throw up. Lovely! I got that all cleaned up, helped him change his clothes and then it was off to bed. He cried and cried to me that he just wanted his tummy to feel better. I rubbed his tummy to try and make it feel better but honestly what could I do?!?!?!?! He ended up resting for a little bit (I can't say he was quite asleep yet because it was to soon after a bout of crying) when all of a sudden he threw his head into the bucket and started throwing up some more. He did get most of it in the bucket but there was some on the pillow and sheet (Did I tell you that I just took my sheets out of the dryer because Angel had thrown up on them that morning? Yeah, nice!) So off the sheets came again and into the washing machine. I gave him a quick bath put some clean pajamas on him again and off to bed again we went (its after midnight now) thankfully that was the end of the puking/diarrhea mess! I am not sure how much more I could have handled!
I was afraid that Santa was going to go right by our house because there was a little boy who wasn't asleep when he came by but he must have taken Aaron being sick into consideration, Kaylee woke me up bright and early (The clock read 6:30 but its about 15 minutes fast so it was 6:15 give or take a minute) She told me Santa came and asked me if she could wake up Aaron. I told her to lay by me a little bit longer because Aaron and I had a rough night. That lasted about 20 minutes and she was up again. I knew it was time now. She gently woke up Aaron and he sat up......I asked him how he felt and he informed me that his tummy didn't hurt anymore (thank goodness!) They went and woke up papa while I brushed my teeth then it was present time. They had so much fun! Santa brought roller blades (here comes the broken arms.....Aaron has no fear yet. Until he falls for the first time then we shall see) Art boxes (very cool, they only color on that paper) and movies and cars and jewelry and little trinket type stuff. Matt and I bought Kaylee an actual stereo (she really wanted one) and Aaron a portable stereo and a few toys and Kaylee got a jewelry making kit and they both got lots of clothes. Aunt Skris, Aunt Judy, and Sarah came over after a while to eat with us and with them came more presents (how exciting) more cool clothes and basket balls and a basketball hoop! they can't wait to set that up. We had lots of great food and have been playing games all after noon. Bunco, Sorry, Operation, and UNO Spin. Very fun stuff. Tonight the kids and I watched Material Girls (Kaylee liked it, me not so much) How To Eat Fried Worms (cute but gross) and now we are watching Over The Hedge.
It has been an awesome Christmas at my house! I cannot believe that it is over and tomorrow I have to go back to work! I almost forgot to tell you one of the most important things about this Christmas......Kaylee played a few songs on the piano for everyone. She played Away in a Manger, Jolly Ole Saint Nicholas, and Oh Come All Ye Faithful. She was absolutely awesome on all of them!
I will post some pictures later but now it is time to head off to bed so that I can make it to work tomorrow.

what do I do?

Matt was invited over to his brothers house for the day after Christmas.......I informed him that I was not going. I told him he could take the kids and have a good time but I would be staying home with his father. After speaking to Donette about it she has made me look at things a different way (imagine that!) It is just one evening, its not like we are all going on a trip together to be with each other for days on end and I know she is right but dang it I still don't want to go! I have been thinking and thinking about it these past couple days and still haven't come up with a conclusion as to what I am going to do. Do I swallow my pride and go to their house so I can walk on pins and needles or do I keep my stubborn hat on and stay home? I know what I want to do but is that really the right thing to do?
I hate being put into yucky situations!!!!

another day

I awoke with another headache this morning, and I still feel achy all over.....have the chills too, but that has not stopped me from cleaning this mess of a house. It has taken me a little longer then it normally does but it is pretty much clean now. Thank goodness! We have people coming over here for Christmas and I don't want them to think my house is always dirty.......it has that nice pine sol smell to it.(.....that could be contributing my headache but whatever!) As long as we can all keep this house picked up for the next 2 days we will be in good shape.

presents

The presents are wrapped (YEAH) I stayed up until 1:00 last night wrapping them and was I ever exhausted by the time I was finished. The kids were very excited when they got up this morning to find them under the tree, they have already counted them to see how many they are going to be getting. There was a couple that I didn't wrap, I decided that I would just give them to them on Christmas day from Matt and I. (Their new comforters and pillows for their beds) they are just to big for me to wrap and I got lazy towards the end so I convinced myself pretty easily to just give them to them unwrapped.

another headache

I woke up with another headache......what is going on? This never happens to me. I think the longest I have ever had one before was 2 days........this is day number 5 with a small break in between from yesterday. I took the 2 extra migraine pills that I took from B and it has subsided a little........now I have to clean the house (its rough when the kids are home from school) and then I am going to go to the store to buy a bottle of this med for myself! I still don't think it is a migraine........but honestly, what do I know?!?!?!?!?!

The decorated house

bathroom

Here is my wonderfully new bathroom. I swear to you if I could I would hug it! (that says a lot because you all know I am not a hugger!) It is not completely decorated.....as you can see I haven't found the candles that I wanted for the sconces and we haven't put the towel racks or the toilet paper holder up and I want to find some flowers for the brown box that I have in the window sill (left side of bottom picture) but we are getting there. Doesn't it look fantastic! I love it!

kaylees bleached out carpet

Here is Kaylee's BEAUTIFUL carpet that I told you about.

Aaron's Christmas party

Kaylee's Christmas party

sorry it has been a while

I have had a headache since Monday.....I wrote a blog that I thought I was getting sick and I did but I had no idea the headache was going to last that long! I have been in a complete daze these past few days but I think I'm finally back. I have been willing myself to be better and I'm not sure if that was what actually made me better or all the meds I have been taking. Bala gave me some Excedrin migraine and it went away. I don't believe that I had a migraine but I do believe that was what made it go away (or me willing it to go away) So thank you friend B......you are the best!

I might be sick

Yuck! I feel like crap. I have taken some pepto and I am waiting for it to kick in.......if I am feeling better tomorrow I will take some pictures of the bathroom and Kaylees floor so you see them.

Eragon

Donette and I went to see this movie today. It was by all means not as good as L.O.T.R. but it was still pretty good. Story line was pretty good and there was a few funny moments in it and some pretty good fights but that was about it. If they continue with the trilogy I will not be going to see them in the theater......they can wait for DVD.

an embarrassing Krystal moment

I struggled and struggled with if I should write this, it is quite embarrassing, but then I thought to myself "you have already told everyone that you work with you might as well write it on your blog for all to read!" So here goes.........
I was on my way to work this morning and I was close to the yucky wal-mart that is by my work (by yucky I mean dirty) I was stopped at a red light and I felt like someone was staring at me. I looked around and sure enough there was a white truck and the passenger was starring at me. I felt a little uncomfortable so i turned my head forward and didn't look at them again but all the while feeling that person look at me. The light turned green so we all started to drive and thankfully at the next light I turned and they kept going straight. I sighed relief and drove the rest of the way to work. When I got to work I parked, put my car in park and turned the key to shut it off. I put the keys into my purse and grabbed for my purse and workout bag, something white caught my eye........my shirt was unbuttoned in 2 places! OH MY GOODNESS!!!!! I was completely hanging out of my shirt! Why I didn't feel this I have no idea but I didn't. Now I know what the guy in the white truck was looking at and I am sure he laughed all the way to his work! How embarrassing! thankfully I didn't know these people because I would never be able to live this down.

random blog

What a day! Extreme shopping experience for me. I went to Garden Ridge with Sarah and aunt Skris to do some window shopping and get some new decorations for my new bathroom. I got lots of neat stuff......candles, baskets, vases, greenery........very fun. I didn't find any rugs or towels that I wanted but I was still going to be going to wal-mart and I could look there so I wasn't to worried. After a couple hours in the store we were finally finished and took our purchases to the car to head home. I rode with Sarah but Kris came over so she could look at the bathroom........we walked in the door to be smacked with the horrible smell of bleach. I didn't think to much of it at first but after a second I was told that Kaylee and Aaron attempted to clean her carpet with bleach cleaner! OH MY GOODNESS!!!! You should see her carpet. It did get most of the stains out but now we are left with another problem and I think you know what it is! I think she knows to never do that again! And we learned a new trade mark for Aaron........he will throw you under the bus as long as it keeps him out of trouble. He swears up and down that it was not his idea and he only helped a little bit with the scrubbing and that sister did the rest. Not sure if that is good or bad!
Then it was off to wal-mart......I wasn't going to allow the kids to come but they did not do it out malice, they really thought they were doing a good thing so to punish them for it might be wrong. Maybe.......my thinking process might be wrong on this, I just don't know. So anyway off to wal-mart to get a few groceries and look at the towels and get some Christmas wrapping paper and some other odds and ends. Had lots of fun looking at things (and I bought some tongs so I can be like Rachael Ray when I cook.....Matt informed me that isn't often but hey it does happen some times) We were there for about an hour and then it was time to go home. Kris was driving us home and Aaron asked me how long I lived in South Dakota before I moved to Texas. I told him a long time and then he said "so you moved to Texas to get me?" Isn't that the cutest! I swear to you the things that come out of this childs mouth........very imaginative! He has got to write novels when he grows up, every one of them will be best sellers. Or screen plays.....either one is fine with me. He has other ideas though.....he told Matt the other day that he is going to drive a NASCAR truck when he grows up. Matt asked him if he could drive it also and Aaron told him "no but you can change the tires." (see what I'm talking about.......novels I tell you!)

Choir Concert

choir concert

I didn't get to post anything lst night because I was dealing with crabby Aaron and then it was late and I had to watch The Office (sorry.....priorities) but the concert went great. All the kids did an awesome job. We get a break from choir now......no more early morning lessons until February! Not that it matters that much because Kaylee still has to be there at 7:30 Am for Success Makers.
I will post a few pictures from last night in a few minutes.

crabby Aaron

Aaron was a complete grouch last night after the choir concert. Crying at the drop of a hat, extremely whiny.....I knew something had to be up. I took his temp and it was 100.9.
Matt took him to the doctor this morning and my suspicions were correct, he was sick. He has strep throat. Poor baby. they put him on antibiotics naturally and they are taking a tole on him now (either that or he has the horrible virus going around) he has yucky diarrhea. He has been sleeping since I got home work and now that it is so late he better continue to sleep the rest of the night.
tomorrow we were suppose to go and get some new shoes for him but if he is still feeling yucky we will wait until Sunday, he needs to get his rest for now and get better.

and the work continues......

last weekend Matt tiled our bathroom floor......this weekend we took off all the wallpaper border and are painting the bathroom. My hand is killing me because I have been scraping that stuff for ever! I didn't think I would ever get it off and I only did half of it! Matt did most of it while I was at work and now he is painting! I can only imagine how his hand feels!
I will post some pictures once it is all done.

Lunch was awesome.

Olive Garden lunch

YUM-O! Love this place!
Went there today for a Christmas lunch with Donette, Laura, Susan, and Eileen. Laura surprised us with Christmas tree skirts that she made that are beautiful! I will take a picture of it under the tree and post it a little bit later so you can see.

I might have figured it out.

I think I might have found something to help me enjoy the gym a little more. Or at least make the time pass by a little bit faster. I usually have to cover up the timer, avoid looking at the clock, and count to 1500 before I look to see if I have hit my 20 minutes. Naturally every time I haven't hit that amount so then depending on how much time I have left I will count to 100 or 200 or 300 but usually no more then that. Well tonight I brought my new book in to see if I was coordinated enough to exercise and read at the same time and surprisingly I could do it. I was a little bit slower then my normal reading because I really had to focus on the pages at hand to read what they said but it made the time go by so much faster! The added perk is I get to get some reading time in also! Everybody wins with this little revelation!

I have spirit

This is the first year since we have moved down here that I have actually had some Christmas spirit. I put up a pretty good act because I don't want the kids to know that I don't have any but this year I am not pretending. I have found some recipes that I want to try out (I am thinking about attempting to make fudge) and I have been wanting to wrap some presents but haven't done it because Angel still chews things and I don't need her chewing on the paper to reveal the gift to which ever child. This is a very nice change for me.
The other day Kaylee and I had to go to a couple stores to get a few things and we stopped in at Dollar Tree (my favorite dollar store) I found my moms favorite Christmas candy there. Old fashioned Creme Drops......I'm not sure how many times I heard the story about how she would get them as a child during Christmas time but it was a lot so every year I try to get a package of them so I can have my mom here at Christmas (does that make sense?) Well this year I bought them and when I got home I opened them up and told the kids how they are Grandma Patty's favorite candy and how she use to get them as a child........last night as I was trying to get Aaron to sleep (took a long time, he was very wound up) he asked me if he could have 2 of grandma Patty's favorite candy for desert........now how can you say no to that? Sure he already had his teeth brushed and he was suppose to be asleep but I let him go ahead and get 2.....he tried to talk me into 3 but I was firm with 2 so he took his 2 pieces and went and laid down.

came home to a surprise

Matt was grouting the floor when I got home tonight. I was shocked......I thought he was going to wait until Thursday to do it but nope.....he started it tonight. I believe he is done with the grouting part and next comes the sealing.....then we can start putting the bathroom back together and I can shower in there again......the other bathroom has been fine but there is nothing like your own bathroom......you know where everything is......you don't have to worry about forgetting something and having to go back and get it.
I can't wait until it is done!
I will post some photos when we have it all finished (paint and everything)

7 to go

7 more sessions of 24 hour fitness to go for me to get reimbursed for these last 3 months. I would be done if I would have more disciplined in November but I was extremely busy and didn't get there.......now I am busting my behind to get it done! Wish me luck!

To the Left, To The Left

Have you heard this song? I believe the actual name of it is Irreplaceable by Beyonce. Now I am not a huge Beyonce fan and I was never a huge fan of Destinys Child when they were together but this song is awesome! It totally sticks into your head!
I thought about buying her CD for it but I haven't yet gone that far, not sure how the rest of it is going to be.

Christmas party

Tonight was the Girl Scout Christmas party. What a fun time. We all brought food over to Angies and gifts. Then Karen did the awards for all the girls with the badges that they have earned. The girls did a white elephant gift exchange and then the mothers did one. Lots of fun.
Danni and I handed out the cookie info for us to start selling cookies next month (so get ready everyone) and we sort of helped Angie clean up.......ok that didn't come out right lots of people helped clean up, it just went by so quick with everyone helping that I really didn't feel like I did a lot. It was clean by the time we left though that is the important thing right? I thought about offering to do the dishes but never actually got the words out.....imagine that! I don't think I could have actually done it.....to many people with to many germs so I opted to keep my mouth shut. I swear the issues that I have are enormous!!!

the tile is layed

Matt finished laying the tile tonight and so far it looks great. We have to wait for it to dry for 24 hours before walking on it and then he has to grout it and then seal it. What a long process but in the end will look awesome!

tile

the project has begun with putting the tile in the bathroom. Matt ripped out the carpet yesterday and today he has started to lie the tile. Wish us luck on how it turns out!

Caroling for cans

What a cold cold night! This was our annual night to go through the neighborhood singing Christmas carols in exchange for caned goods for the local Helping Hands. We did pretty good but half way through it I lost all feeling in my lower extremities. Still trying to get the feeling back in toes.
The girls sang Rudolf and Frosty and Silent Night and We Wish You A Merry Christmas and whatever else they could come up with. I think it was a huge success except for the fact that it was so darn cold!
We finished up with cookies and hot cocoa at Karens.......hit the spot nicely.

Are You There God? Its Me Margret.

This is the book that Kaylee is reading right now (I remember it from when I was a child.....it is a classic) She said the words that I have been waiting to hear for 4 years now about books. "I feel like I am in the story even though I'm not."

It is a miracle! She is finally getting that books are wonderful to read! That you can put yourself into another world and escape reality for a while (that is how I explain it, not her words.) I really hope this continues with her.

no bulling today

I called Kaylee after school today and she told me her and Lexi stayed away from each other today. Thank Goodness!
Lets pray that this continues throughout the rest of the school year!

very interesting

United Health Foundation ranks SD as healthy

KNBN-TV
Dec. 5
South Dakota ranks as the eighteenth healthiest state according to a study by the United Health Foundation. The UHF says South Dakota's strengths include a low incidence of infectious disease, low crime rate, and a high number of children who are immunized.
The organization names two challenges to the state. Those are the high rate of motor vehicle deaths and the prevalence of obesity.
The study looked at a number of factors when determining each state's ranking, things like smoking and prenatal care as well as crime rates and the number of children in poverty.
Last year South Dakota ranked twentieth.
Minnesota is considered the healthiest state, and Louisiana ranked last as the least healthy state.

back on the 24 hour fitness band wagon

Second day in a row that I have gone to the gym. I am planning on going again tomorrow.
I have been doing the horrible machine that I don't know how to spell and it seems to be getting a little better. I am up to 1 and 1/2 miles in 20 minutes. No idea if that is good or bad but it is better then when I started this.
I have 10 more to go by the end of the month so I can get reimbursed.....wish me luck!

Kids are cruel part 2

I have been curious all day as to how Lexi and Kaylee got along.
She told me for the most part that she ignored her but at the end of the day they were suppose to be sitting quietly at their desks when Kaylee noticed Lexi had her address book. Once again Kaylee didn't say anything to her about it. Lexi did get into trouble by the teacher because they weren't suppose to have anything out but that was the only reason. Kaylee got her stuff back and I guess all is good again in her world.

Matt is fit to be tied about this little girl. He said he is ready to go and talk to her mother so that this can all stop. I told him to calm down a little bit.....sure I want to go and push the little bully down and show her how a "real" bully is but I know that I can't do that. I don't think it is time to talk to her parents, we just talked to the teacher about it. We need to give it a little bit of time to calm down.....if it doesn't that I will be more then happy to talk to her mother and tell her to have her brat leave my baby alone but right now it is to soon.

I also told Kaylee that she needs to grow a back bone.........she looked at me like I was crazy! (by the way, this morning when I dropped her off at school I told her to have a great day and to ignore Lexi (just go the other direction) and to not start picking on her. She gave me that look of shock that only kids can give adults and told me she "never picks on Lexi!" I said that I believed her but I didn't want her to start now that she knows she has me and Mrs. Smartt behind her.) anyway I told her to grow a back bone and stick up for herself. Tell her that is mine and you didn't ask me permission to use it. Maybe if I continue she will get some self confidence and start sticking up for herself.......I will keep you updated on the "bully saga."

Kids are cruel

Children can be so mean sometimes. Kaylee is being pestered by a bully right now and it is all I can do to stop myself from going over to Lexi's house and pushing her down! Telling her to leave my poor child alone!
This is not her first run in with Lexi. For some reason Lexi likes to pick on Kaylee. I believe she is that way with everyone but this happens to be the time to pick on Kaylee. Kaylee's first encounter with Lexi was on Lexis first day of school last year. She sat beside Kaylee and took her chicken at lunch time. She told the lunch lady and she told Kaylee to give her a break because it was her first day of school in a new school in a new town and then she never even got Kaylee another piece of chicken (big meany) but we didn't say anything. There are some things Kaylee is going to have to handle on her own and I felt this was one of them. Well through out the year Kaylee would tell me things about Lexi, things that she was doing whether it be picking on her or other children so I know the name very well. Fast forward to now about a month ago. Kaylee started coming home from telling me that Lexi was at it again. This time she is telling Kaylee that she is going to tell on her to the teacher and the principle and whomever else that Kaylee is doing things to hurt her, pinch her and hit her and so on. I have been telling Kaylee to ignore her. To not play around her and so on and Kaylee is trying to do this but last Friday Lexi took it a little bit to far for Kaylee, Lexi told her on the bus (they have assigned seating and poor Kaylee has to sit beside her) as they were riding home Lexi told her that she was going to tell the bus driver that Kaylee is spitting in her hair and then when she got home she was going to tell her mom so that she would call me and this would get her into more trouble. This topped it off for Kaylee and made her cry so I knew that I had to take some action. I talked to Kaylee about talking to the bus driver and telling her that she and Lexi do not get along and to mover her any where on the bus so that she knew she meant business. If that didn't work I was going to be calling the bus depot to get it taken care of but I didn't want Kaylee to know that because I wanted her to try and take care of something and learn a lesson from it. I did tell her that I was going to email her teacher so I did that this morning and this is what was wrote..........

Have you noticed anything strange happening between Kaylee and Lexi? (Not sure of her last name) Kaylee has had problems with her since she started at Rochell a few years ago but not to the point that it has made her cry like it is now. She has been telling me for the last month that she is telling lies on her, telling her that she is going to go to you or to Mrs. Peters or whomever and tell them that Kaylee did something to her to get her into trouble. Friday was the last straw for Kaylee though, she said that she has to sit by her on the bus and that Lexi told her Friday that she was going to tell the bus driver that she is spitting in her hair and then she was going to tell her mom so that her mom would call me and she would get in trouble. I have told her to ignore her and stay away from her. I told her to talk to the bus driver about moving her seat on the bus (try to make her handle it first and if she says no then I will step in) and I told her that I was going to email you to see if you have noticed anything and/or to make you aware of it. If you know of anything please let me know so I can try to help Kaylee with this whether that mean they completely stay away each other or for them to become friends and work this out.
Krystal

And this was her reply.....
Good Morning Krystal,
I wasn't aware of what was going on, but I just talked to Kaylee privately about it. I have talked with the other student and will try to go out to the bus today to see if the driver can move her seat. I also encouraged Kaylee to come to me when these things are happening so that I can help her make the situation better. Please let me know if you notice the situation improving or getting worse so that we can work on another action plan if needed!
Thanks for letting me know!
Kelly
Hopefully no harm was done with her talking to Lexi about this. I guess only time will tell.

recital day

Today was the piano recital. Kaylee did wonderful! I am so proud of her. She did admit to me that she was a little nervous but you couldn't tell it one bit while she was up there. I don't believe she made one mistake but if she did I was to busy boasting with pride to notice.

She asked me before we left to please not embarrass her. Not knowing how I would possibly embarrass her I asked her what she meant. Apparently when I scream her name while she is walking on stage or something like that she gets embarrassed . I promised her I wouldn't do it today and followed through with my promise. All I did was clap at the end of it.

Not sure I told you this but she played Away in a Manger

Christmas Party

Last night was my Christmas party and I was pleasantly surprised with the outcome of it all. It was a casino/auction party. I was sort of dreading it because the food they chose did not sound good to me at all but again with that I was pleasantly surprised. I had some sort of chicken and noodles. They were both very good and the desert table......YUM!! That is the only word I can say. Very VERY good!
After we ate it was time to gable. I sat and talked with my friends for a while and then I went up and played a few hands of Texas Hold'm. Didn't do so hot there and actually I didn't even really play a hand, I folded every time and when it was almost time for me to have the big blind I quit and went over to the craps table. Eileen and Mackie were there and we had a great time. I still have no idea what I was doing but the dealers were a lot of help and I just followed whatever Mackie did and went with it. I made $1000.00 by the end of it (to bad that wasn't real)
Next came the auction. I had my eyes on the ipod but was out bidded by Phil. He wanted it also. I tried to guilt him into by saying he was breaking a 9 year olds heart but that didn't work. Next came the game system (I think it was a PS2 but I could be wrong) Completely out bidded on that one also. SO Matt and I settled for the GPS system. I told B that if he got something I wanted I would trade with him but there was really nothing else that I wanted so Matt and I went home with the GPS.
After that it was time to go home but Eileen called me (we parked at different doors) and told me to turn around because they were going to go and have a drink. Matt and I put our stuff in the car and went back in to meet Susan, Kevin, Bala, Eileen and Kenny. We ended up having more then 1 drink and had an awesome time! We talked and laughed and talked some more. Some secrets were revealed but that's ok because we had a great time doing it.
I think this was the best Christmas party I have ever been to and I hope next year will be the same.
