Queasy stomachs need not apply (or read)

Only me would this happen to. No one else in this house hold and I am pretty sure no one else that I know would this happen to. Only me! I am the (un)lucky one.
After I got home from work yesterday the kids told that Jack ate all of the Christmas cookies and all of the chocolate cream drops (entire back that wasn't even open) He was nice and left the fudge....not sure if that was when he got caught, if he tried it and didn't like it, or if his tummy was so upset that he couldn't eat any more but he left it for us. It was all suppose to be put up but you know how kids are....they tend to forget sometimes. He seemed to be acting ok so I went ahead and took him for his walk, some bright idea of mine had him run for half of it (no worries, I paid for that later) We got home and I gave him a treat for being so good on our walk. I also gave Angel and Libby a treat because it wouldn't be fair if I just gave Jackie one. For some strange reason Jack was holding the treat in his mouth. No idea why because he normally inhales them! But he held it in there for a good 20 minutes. Matt finally acted like he was going to take it if he didn't eat it so Jack ate it up.

........Fast forward about 10 minutes........

Kaylee is at the kitchen table painting. Matt and Aaron are on the couch playing the DS. I am sitting in the chair watching O'Reilly and Jack is laying below my feet. (not sure where the other 2 dogs where but they aren't relevant to this story) Jackie stood up, looked at me, then proceeded to throw up everything that was in his stomach on top of my lap! Oh My. I asked for some help then stood up. Throw up was EVERYWHERE. All over the chair (thank goodness for leather) all over my legs and behind. It was everywhere I tell you. So disgusting. I went and took a shower and let the 3 of them all deal with the mess. After I was done and had laundry in the washer he threw up again on the rug. We had him outside for a while and then I thought certainly he was done so I let him back in. I'll let you take a guess at what happened....he threw up again! Beside the couch. After that we kept him outside for about an hour and before bed we let him back in hoping that he was all done. He didn't have another accident so we went to bed and thankfully he didn't wake me up in the night. He has seemed fine all day long also, my guess is that it is out of his system.

This darn dog! You would think he would learn wouldn't you! We are always praising about good he is and smart well after this incident I am starting to wonder....maybe he is dumb. No matter, I will love him no matter what.

By the way......

Aaron did sing "All I Want For Christmas is my Two Front Teeth" chipmunk version. So cute.

Wizards first Rule

By Terry Goodkind. This is the latest book that I read. I only give it 3 out 5 stars. It is a pretty interesting story but some parts are pretty predictable. I am going to read a couple more in the series to see if I like it enough to finish the entire series.

just a day at the park

Kaylee, Aaron, me and the puppies all walked to the park to play for a while yesterday. You can see how much fun they were having (although I'm not so sure about the dogs, having to be chained up on their leashes while they played and I took pictures of them) it was nice to get out of the house and relax for a while. I don't think I do that enough.

just had to throw Angel in a blog

Kaylee didn't make this dog bed but doesn't she look comfy and cute.

Kaylee's first project with the sewing machine

Look how comfy he is on his new bed.

Merry Christmas

It all started yesterday. I got off work early (finishing up my vacation) and came home to be with the kids. We got ready for Church in hopes that Matt would make it home in time to go with us. We took a bunch of pictures of us all dressed up. We look very nice if I must say so. Then it was time for us to go. Oh My Goodness, the traffic was horrible. I couldn't believe how backed up it was. We did make it to church in plenty of time for us to get awesome seats. I guess that happens when you get there almost an hour early....I was adamant about not sitting in the lobby (like years past) Matt ended up making it to Mass with us. We had a seat saved just for him. Father was so great in Mass last night. Instead of reading the gospel he called all the children up and had them sit so he could tell them a story. I am pretty sure it had something to do with Jesus being born and how Mary and Joseph walked and walked and had to give birth in the manger but honestly I didn't hear a lot because I was busy giving Aaron the evil eye to sit still and sit up and quit shaking his foot and to quit pulling on his sock...I swear this child of mine! After church we came home and got ready for Santa to make his arrival. We wrote a letter and got out the milk, cookies and carrots and as a added bonus this year Kaylee added a candy cane for Santa to take on the sleigh with him. Then we settled into watching my favorite Christmas movie (Elf) We all fell asleep while it was on.
The slept in pretty late. Woke me up at 9. I was a little surprised they didn't wake up earlier then that but they didn't and I am completely fine with more sleep. They had a great time opening their presents. they were so surprised they got the DS's. They have both been wanting one but their mom is pretty mean and refused to buy one. Kaylee had been saving her money to buy one and then she had the phone accident and had to use her money to buy a new phone rather then the DS that she wanted. (tough lesson but she learned it well) And Aaron has been asking and asking for one and was convinced that Santa was going to bring him one. I told that Santa didn't bring things that the moms and dads didn't agree with but he was still positive that he would come through and bring it to him. Surprise surprise this morning when they opened them they were from mom and dad. Santa did bring RockBand for the wii.....we have been having fun with that all evening.
We ate over at Aunt Skris's. It was wonderful. So much yummy food....I love this season. Then we all went to see a movie. We have never done that before but thought we would give it a try this year. We went to Marley and Me. I had read the book about 4 years back and loved it. I actually had said to Matt that it should have been me who wrote this book. Jack could have made me millions with everything he has put me through (....just for a little refresher, he ate the electrical cord twice, he ate pool poison, he ate Matts wallet...twice! And then so generously gave it back to us by throwing it up, and to top everything he was filled with ticks, fleas, and little white worms that moved! So disgusting!) After the movie we were leaving the theater and Aaron informed me that he does not like sad movies where the dog dies. Poor guy! We all cried and he didn't like it. Very good movie though (and very good book)
We came back to Aunt Skris's and snacked on food, played games, and Aunt Skris helped Aaron with his new Lego set.
I hope you all had a Merry Christmas and will have a Happy New Year.

isn't this cool

Just messing around with the camera

our outing to the local pet store

Everything went good until I had to put my camera away. Maybe next time the manager won't mind but as for this trip it was a no go with the pictures.

playing with the new puppy toys

Yep...this was the first toy destroyed by Jack, didn't even last an hour.

The Clone Trooper

You learn so much when you have a little boy.

A couple photos from the beautiful day.

There are those shoes again!

I told you, everything is about shoes with this girl....she will change everything for a gorgeous pair of shoes, like these shoes....she changed her entire Christmas outfit just so she could get these shoes! (I am in so much trouble when she gets older!)

Aaron had to show his fancy pair of shoes also. Thankfully he is nothing like Kaylee in this department! He couldn't care less about his shoes. Most of the time he would rather not even wear shoes.
