I ordered the couponizer the other day and it came in the mail today. I am really excited to have received this. My friend is using it and she has been raving to me about how much money she has been saving. She is going to help me get it started (I need some help in this department) and then I am on my own. I will let you know how it goes! I can't wait until the day that I brag to you that I had to have the grocery store give me money back for buying groceries! (that happened to her this past weekend)

Aggresive frogs (or are they toads?)
I am going to start this story a few weeks back.........
I got home from work and Matt called me to come out back. He pulled out of our pond a dead frog with a dead bird stuck in his throat. This struck me as being extremely odd. Its not every day that you see something like that. It made me think of Revelations in the bible. I don't recall it talking about frog eating birds but there are strange things during that period so it could happen. He threw it away and afterwards I was thinking maybe we should have called someone to come and get it and have them tested. I never went back and got it but I did think about it.
Now to last night.......
I was watching Angel through the window out back (it was dark and I was waiting for her to go to the bathroom so we could go to bed.) Her favorite past time is chasing frogs/toads and this night proved to be the same as any other night. There was a huge frog on the patio that caught her interest. She ran up to it and started to sniff it and bat at it with her paw. The frog startled her by jumping up into her face. I have never seen them do that before. I laughed a little but then I started to think about the image of the frog with the bird stuck in his throat. I thought maybe this frog was going to try and do that to Angel. Angel went back and sniffed it and then walked away. A few minutes later she went back again and sniffed it and then walked away. She did this about 5 times and then she left it alone. (I was going to take a picture for you to see this aggressively mean frog but I couldn't find my camera so you are going to miss out on it)
I am not quite sure what to think about this. Naturally I have started thinking about revelations again because how many frog/toads do you see that might ponder the idea of eating a dog? I know, I know, it might have just been something that happened but you have got to admit it does seem to be a little strange!

First day of school has come and gone
The kids were so excited this morning....first day of a brand new school year, what could be better! Well let me tell you how our morning went.
We woke up on time, Matt was asleep so we tried to be as quiet as we could but you know how that goes. Matt didn't complain though. I am sure he knew just how excited they were for this day to finally be here. Our first problem was with Kaylee, She had me put curlers in her hair the night before but she just couldn't get it to do what she wanted. Pretty stressful for her but she remained calm. She ended up just wetting the brush and taking all of her curl out. After we were done with all of that we went out to the kitchen where Aaron was eating breakfast. I made her a quick breakfast (I still say that I am the self proclaimed fast breakfast champion!) I happened to look at Aaron and he had dog hair all over his new shirt. Apparently he thought it would be fun to rub up against Jack for a while this morning. I made him change shirts and now we were on our way. Kaylee climbed into her seat and I held the door open for Aaron. The bottom of his shoe was filled with dog poo! My goodness! I had to take his shoe off, leave the kids in the car and go and clean his shoe. We got to the school a little bit later then I was hoping so I didn't get the pictures with the teachers. We did get the ones with Amanda in the front though....I will post them as soon as I get a chance.
After school I called to see how it went and they both said they had wonderful days. Aaron loves his teacher (how could he not, she is wonderful and there is only better times to come) and Kaylee really liked her teacher also. She is sharing a locker with McKenzie so that made everything even better! And she said to top her day off she didn't even have to talk to mean Lexi! (Poor Reece got the same class as her though......I feel bad for her but thankfully Kaylee didn't get the same class as her)
When I got home from work I had my homework to do. Fill out the mountains of paperwork that they send home the first day. I believe I got it all done and ready to go back tomorrow.

school is almost here
Friday was meet the teacher day at school. We gathered all of the school supplies (still don't have some because we can't find them) and headed off to school. Aaron got Kaylees 1st grade teacher and we couldn't have been happier. She was my favorite teacher so far that Kaylee has had. While Kaylee was in there they did a couple plays and had their picture in the paper. Lots and lots of fun stuff. I am really excited that Aaron got her.
Kaylees teacher we don't know anything about. Kaylee wasn't sure who she was/ I am sure she is going to be great. Kenzie, Maddy and Olivia are all in Kayees class. Thank goodness. Reece isn't though so Kaylee was a little sad about that. Lexie isn't her class (remember her.....she is the one who was bullying Kaylee last year) Kaylee and Lexie have been in the same class since 2nd grade so this will be a nice change to not have her in Kaylees classroom. They will still have the same bus to ride home on but hopefully the bus driver won't put them next to each other like she did last year.
Tomorrow we are planning on going swimming at Donettes house. We were planning on it today but something came up and I decided tomorrow would be better because it will hopefully help them to fall asleep faster Sunday night so they are nice and refreshed Monday morning for school to start.
Friday night was our first GS meeting for the year. Yep its all starting up again. Soccer practice is to begin next week. Then the following week starts up piano and CCD. Here come our busy time again. Thats fine with me though, I think we all do better on a schedule.
I will post more later and let you know how everything goes.

Doctor Day
I went to the doctor today. I don't particularly like going to to the doctor but sometimes you have put it off for so long that I start thinking there might be something wrong with me which in turn makes me nervous and I start thinking horrible things. Its a vicious cycle really. If I would just go when I should I could avoid this altogether but you know me, the big procrastinator.
The nurse finally called me back and asked me to get on the scale (a horrible act that they make you do no matter how much you argue with them.....I personally have never argued with them about it but I can see it happening) I stepped up on the scale and I have gained more weight. Oh My Goodness! If this doesn't quit soon I might have to actually do something about it! (might is the operative word there, we all know how lazy I am) the nurse asks all the questions and takes my blood pressure and temp and then I sat there to wait for the doctor to come in. Finally there was a knock at the door. He seemed happy to see me, told me it had been a long time since I have been checked (and it has, I deserve the scolding) we talked for a few minutes and then he listened to my heart beat (which he said sounded great) Afterwards he was writing in my file and he said to me (and I quote) "your heart beat is great, nice and strong, your blood pressure is great and your weight is good." to which I laughed. So I have decided that there is no need to worry yet....Doctor said everything was fine with me. Thats good enough for me (I wonder what I would do if he said I needed to lose weight and quit eating salt and exercise more.........makes you wonder)

getting ready for school
School starts next Monday. I think the kids are more then ready. This weekend we and bought some new shoes and more school supplies (still haven't found everything that Aaron needs) We went and got our hair cut....it was a fun weekend. We watched the movie Are We Done Yet? very cute and typical feel good movie. Reminded me of a modern day Money Pit. The Money Pit was better but this was defiantly cute. Other then that we didn't do much. We are getting ready to repaint the living room but I told Matt I needed to take a a couple of weekends off to recuperate from painting the kids room and our room.....I need a little bit of a break.

What a fun Night
Tonight we had to go to soccer evaluations for the kids. It is to place them on the correct teams. We ran into Aarons coach from last year, maybe he will get him again. Aaron really enjoyed him.
After that we went and got Sonic for supper and then met aunt Skris, uncle Mike and cousin Sarah at the Harbor to watch the concert on the lake. It was a band called Petty Theft and they were really good (a tribute band to Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers.....love them!) We ended up leaving early because the clouds were moving in quickly but we got to listen to was great.

Yeah for Matt
Matt was offered the superintendent position at his work! It only took them close to a year to fill it but it has finally been offered! This is a huge step up for him and I couldn't be prouder.

I'm not really sure if I should complain but......
it is so stinking hot here! I know last month I was telling you that if it didn't stop raining we were going to end up in Louisiana but now it is so hot that you can't even breathe when you go outside! Please let it cool down a little bit! Just a little......anything under 100 degrees will be fine with me.
The car is fixed again
I got my car back this afternoon. They said that there was something not connected right from when they fixed the fuel pump. They said what that something was but I don't remember....some sort of tube I think. They apologized to me for the inconvenience and then sent me on my way......good to have Blue back.

No explosions today
Matt took my car in this afternoon and he made it there without the car bursting into flames. We have a rental for the night....an Armada......talk about nice! The only problem I have with it is that it is so big. I have a hard time parking. Its all good though because tomorrow afternoon I should have my car back and all will be normal again.

Car problems again!
If there is one thing that I hate in this world it would be car problems. A couple weeks ago I told you that I had to take my car in for a new fuel pump, well the check engine light is on again and it reeks of gasoline. I am so nervous that I have found a ride to work for tomorrow. I just know that if I take it to Nissan tomorrow it is going to explode on the interstate and then there would be no more me. I have decided that Matt has to take it in after he wakes up and have his dad pick him up. He should be fine right.....after all he isn't even half as nervous as me when it comes to car problems. Why should I have to go through the feeling of hyperventilating when he will be totally calm. As soon as I get an update on what is going on with Blue I will let you know.

the Mesquite Rodeo
We went to the rodeo tonight. We had my works annual outing there so we were there with all of my co-workers. Who would have thought the rodeo would be that much fun. The kids had a blast. We took Kenzie, Mike and Papa with us. Aaron got to ride his first horse and he loved it! (you know the horses that go in a circle) He refused to get out in the arena to run after the cows with the other kids......can't say I blame him. He just watched all of these bulls and wild horses trying to get the cowboys off of them and then chasing after the clowns, who in their right minds would want to go and chase a cow that could turn around and chase you! I am sure the chances are pretty slim that these cows would but they might. We also went to the petting zoo. Goats and pigs and bunny's.....they loved it! I took lots of pictures that I will post a little bit later.

5 years later
and I am still at Ribelin. Hard to believe that I have been here this long. The time has flown by! Still loving it there.
well the kids are home
The kids got home Friday night about midnight. They talked our ears off! They both loved their rooms (which I still have to take photos of so you can see) On Saturday Matt put in the wood floor in our room and they helped me paint. It was quite an experience but we certainly had fun doing it. I didn't particularly like standing so high up on the later but it is done now. Now I am trying to get it all put together.....if that ever happens I will take a picture of it too so I can post it for you to see.
I will try to type more later and give you a better update.

Yesterday was a crap day for me
My day actually went ok until I came home from work. I had to go to Wal-Mart for a few things and while I was there I decided to get gas. Filled my take up and started on my way home. I was about 1/2 way here when I looked down and noticed that my gas gauge hadn't moved from when I put gas in. This struck me as odd but I continued driving. I got home, looked down and noticed my service engine soon light on. I got out my book to read what this could mean. FYI it could me a variety things but one thing was to check the gas cap. I checked took it off and then screwed it back on but the gauge still didn't move and the light was still on. I told Matt about ,it and all he did was shrug his shoulders (Not the response that I wanted......I have told him before that I do not want to have anything to do with car maintenance, I want him to just take care of it all but after he shrugged his shoulders at me I knew that this was going to be something I was going to have take care of.....again!) I told Bernie about it so he came over and looked but he didn't really know either.....I decided that I would take it in in the morning.
Then I decided to mow the grass. It was about a mile high from all the rain we have gotten and it wasn't raining now so I knew I had to get it done. I started mowing and when I got the side of the house there was a piece of plastic. I bent to pick it up but before I could reach it the mower sucked it up and the came to a stop. I turned the mower over and took out all the plastic then I flipped it back over tried to restart it but it wouldn't start. I decided to let it sit for a few minutes so I went towards the garage to get a drink of my water. Now our garage is a huge mess. I don't know if mess is the correct word.....lets just say it has a lot of stuff in it. I stepped over Aarons old lawn chair but when I went to have my other leg step over it it was caught on something and I started to fall, trying to catch myself but it didn't work. I tried to make hand take the brunt of the fall rather then my knee which resulted in me hurting the palm and wrist of my hand. I do have a bruise on my knee but it doesn't hurt near as bad as my hand and wrist. There are a couple of small bruises there and they really hurt! I complained about them all day long. I got up and brushed myself off while limping over to my water that was on the freezer. I took about a 15 minute break and then I headed back out to finish mowing. I tried and tried to start that darned mower but it just wouldn't turn over for me. I decided to borrow aunt Skris's mower and finished the job.
The rest of the night was fine I guess. Nothing horrible happened to me anyway. Today I woke up to a very sore body. From my had to my shoulders to my knee to my hip.....Not a pleasant way to wake up. I took my car to Nissan and they kept it all day but they fixed it....the fuel pump went out. I hope that is the end of car problems....nothing worse then having a broken down car! (and a broken lawn mower and an almost broken hand!) Thankfully today was better.....but its not over yet.

the kids are almost home
Yippee, the kids are almost here. A couple more hours and they should be walking in the door. We are frantically trying to finish Aarons room. I am pretty sure everything will get done except maybe getting his bedding washed....I should have done that a couple days ago.
The kids have called a couple times today to tell us were they are on and to see if we have bought everything that they want (mainly Aaron) he called Matt last night and told him that he wants a 4-wheeler and he better have it when he gets home. No idea were this is coming from, he must have met someone who has one. Today he called me and told me that he expects it to be in the garage covered up. I told him that I was not getting him one, they are dangerous and we certainly don't have room to ride one or to store one. I think I might have made him mad because he didn't call me again but he called Matt a couple more times.
