Tonight was a much better night on the homework aspect.....I came home and Kaylee told me she was done with it....she wasn't but she at least told me she was. She "forgot" that she had to study her spelling words (imagine that)
Aaron was asleep when I got home so he is going to be a bear when it comes time to going to sleep. Oh well at least I got a little bit of peace and quiet!

crying myself to sleep
Depression will have set in by tomorrow. Right now I am still in shock. Ryan Star has been kicked off of Rockstar Supernova. In case you didn't know he was my absolute favorite! I do believe he will go far with his solo career and I wish him well. I will support you Ryan Star.....keep those CD's coming!
On another note Dilana was in the bottom 3. I knew she would be after what she did last week, talking about everyone else on the show. There is no way she is going to win this now.....the people won't let her and if by some chance she does make it to the last show Supernova will not pick her because they know how she is with the media now.

Frustration
Very busy night. I get home and Kaylee still hasn't started her homework (agh!!!) Aaron has not had supper yet (agh!!!) and we have got to get to the soccer field. I quickly make Aaron a cheese sandwich and help him get ready (he had his shoes on but no shorts and no guards) tell Kaylee to grab her homework because she is going to have to do it at the field. We get there right on time and Kaylee starts her homework.....a hour later she still isn't finished but soccer is over. Now we have to head off to the school for meet the teacher night that started at 5:30 (yes its 7:00 now) we get there and wait and wait to talk to Aaron teacher.....she does tell me some cute stuff......he has made a friend (Hannah T) and they have bonded well together, they hold hands together and always talking (see yesterdays blog on the talking part) it was very cute but I am going to have to talk to him about how gross girls again because apparently the first time I mentioned it didn't stick in his mind) then it is off to Kaylees class. Mrs. Smart had a 20 minute presentation for us to watch and talked about what she expects of the kids this year and so on.....now it is 8:15 and we are headed home. We walk in the door (yes Rockstar is on and I am missing it but no worries....I have the DVR on record) Kaylee has to sit up to the table and finish her homework and Aaron heads to the tub......now finally Aaron is in bed and I go out to the kitchen to make sure Kaylee is done and fix her something to eat......she is still not done!!!! Now mind you this was not a hard assignment. We did the brunt of it last night tonight all she had to was copy it from her rough draft.....she is such a procrastinator, you have to stay on her all the time.....I hope she grows out of this......that or marry someone rich!) I make her a sandwich to eat and finally she is done with her homework! She quickly eats it and then cleans up the game in her room (because it is so difficult to do after you are done playing it) and then she went in to shower. Now it is 9:40 and she is bed reading.
I will be in a mental institute by May if this family thinks the rest of the year is going to go this way! Going to have to lay the law down (be mean mom again) with everyone in this family that we all have responsibilities to take care of here and I am not the only one!

sympathy? whats that?
Elijah Page is going to be the 16th executed person ever in South Dakota for his brutal murder of Chester Allen Poage. There is a ton of controversy about it. I for one am for his execution. I don't know if I am necessarily an eye for an eye person but I do believe he was caught red handed and we have paid for him to live in our prisons long enough....time for him to go!
If you are interested to see what this psycho did (I didn't think I should post it all on line because it might make some people sick) go and google either of their names.
Susan keeps telling me that I need to have more sympathy for people and I know she is right but not in this case!

by the way
just so you know Rockstar is what Aaron calls the channel. He is right, they are Rockstars so I opted to not tell him that it is the 80's hair band channel. He'll learn soon enough.
turn on Rockstar please
Aaron again asked for the 80's hair band channel so he could fall asleep. Is it a coincidence or has he stumbled onto something?
My favorite sister-in-law left me a voicemail today on something that she read. I'll let you be the judge.........
Heavy Metal: Rocking Babies To Sleep?
LOS ANGELES -- If you know nothing about Metallica, "Enter Sandman" does sound like it could be the title of a lullaby.
A company called Baby Rock Records has created lullaby versions of songs by Metallica, Coldplay and Radiohead.
Executive producer Valerie Aiello said her company did the lullaby tributes because they love the music of all those artists. She said they tested the CDs on babies they knew and she can vouch that one crying baby fell asleep while listening to the Coldplay disc.
The Metallica, Coldplay and Radiohead versions come out Tuesday.
Future editions will feature lullaby versions of Tool, Smashing Pumpkins, Bjork, Nirvana, Queens of the Stone Age, No Doubt, The Pixies and Pink Floyd. Aiello said while a lot of the music works well in this format, some songs just don't work. She said even though "Rape Me" by Nirvana was a hit, it just wasn't the best choice for babies.
Now you tell me, has my Aaron stumbled onto something that could have been a huge money maker? Maybe but we will never know because someone else got to it first.

Karr's DNA no match
Can you believe this.....he is getting to go free. This makes me sick. A known sex offender and because he knows he was going to hung (or whatever it is they do there) in Thailand he confessed to a murder that he didn't do just so he could get out of there. You have to give him credit for figuring out how to get out but dang.....I think we should send him back over there and let them punish him the way that they want to.
Do we really want to admit that he is American? I for one am proud to be from this country but we do not need scum like that walking our streets.

my blissful week is no more
I came home today in pretty good spirits....then I shut the door it all of the negative energy hit me in the face. Matt was in a foul mood because the kids kept bickering back and forth. He was cooking supper which was a very nice surprise. I opened the kids backpacks to get out there notebooks and empty their lunch bags (why they can't do this when they get home I will never know) First bad thing......"mom I accidentally threw your metal spoon away" says Aaron. I said "what?" I should have known better then to trust him with this task. Kaylee likes to take her own spoon because she doesn't like standing in line just to get a spoon so I figured Aaron would be the same way......no more taking my spoons to school. I have learned my lesson. Next bad thing....going over Kaylees notebook and she conviently forgot that she had home work. Hate to admit it but mean-mom had to appear for most of the night. She had to sit down and recite her spelling words and then write a story using all 20 words (do you know how difficult this was! Horrible!!!) She has been hard at work most of the night. I finally had to make her stop so she could take a shower and go to bed. She will have to finish the rest tomorrow evening. (It isn't due until Wednesday) Number 3 bad thing.....I asked Aaron to get me his star notebook so I could look at it and sign it. "Mom I wasn't on "homerun" today but Mrs. Peralez said I would be tomorrow" I asked him what he did and he conviently doesn't remember. I looked at his daily behavior calendar and he had not one, not even 5 but 6 redirections!!! For talking and playing. I knew this day would come but I thought he would at least let the teacher get to know him and love him a little bit before it did.
I have a feeling this is going to be a really long year since it started out like this.

My wisdom is gone part 2
I have been completely out of sorts for the past couple of days and the world has just kept going. Friday I came home and I felt really good and then the numbness wore off. The left side of my face has felt fine, no pain what so ever, the right side though has been extremely sore and still is! I had Matt take Kaylee to her first Junior meeting so I completely missed that....hope everything went ok there.
Saturday not only did my face hurt but my head was pounding from lack of caffeine so I stayed in bed all day long. The kids and I missed Trent and Glens birthday party (happy birthday guys) but I just couldn't get out of bed to get ready. Today my head was finally back to normal but my face is still pretty tender! I keep popping the motirn to get the swelling down! I'll let you know more tomorrow as to how I am feeling.

My wisdom is gone
I just got home from the oral surgeon and I am without wisdom. I have 2 pieces of gauze stuck on either side of my cheeks to stop the bleeding (good thing) but they keep gagging me! (not good)
The gas was definitely turned on today.......little bit of pressure didn't hurt me and he was pulling so hard on the tooth that he had to cut out that I thought he was going to break the rest of my teeth off! But because the gas was working I really didn't care! Thankfully nothing like that happened so because I didn't care at that moment I don't have to care now.
He was giving me the shots in my gums and he told me there would be a little bit of pressure there also......again because the gas was working I didn't care.
The entire procedure took about 20 minutes. Isn't that great. Dr. Miller did an awesome job and now I have to make sure it heals correctly, don't want any dry sockets to make my mouth hurt.

Dallas is number 16
I read a web article today about the 100 most angry cities in America.......and like I said above Dallas is number 16. It surprised me that it wasn't higher!
Orlando is number 1! Can you believe that.....Orlando, the home of Mickey Mouse......how can that be? I demand a recount!

CiCi's night
The kids and I went to CiCi's tonight. It is Aarons favorite place to eat, Kaylee likes it too but I wouldn't say it is her favorite. I personally don't care for their greasy pizza, salad bar is pretty good and their pasta is ok (Doesn't compare to Olive Garden) and the dessert is really good (imagine that coming from me)
Kaylee gave Aaron 4 quarters so they could go and play some games.....I taught them well, no wasting of my money on them so now they don't even ask!

Not liking Dilana so much
Rockstar tonight was a little disappointing. Dilana made a complete fool out of herself. She put Ryan down and in a press junket thing talked about all the other rockstars in a not so nice way! Now I ask you how could she be rude to Ryan? He is the absolute best but he held his composure and was always nice. (But Dave let her have it) and when asked why she wants to save Lucas (whom I don't like but would never say it to the press if I was in this situation) she started to explain herself and he cut her off mid-sentence and told her he didn't need to be saved by her. Good for him. Lucas I might not like you much but I respect you for that. Ryan you have had my vote the entire time and I think you have always given 100% and Dilana you just lost a fan.
Aaron is his mothers child
I am positive everyone knows that my little Aaron is an extremely picky eater (I am being paid back 3-fold for me being so picky as a child and still being picky to this day) and I know that some of you know that Aaron is afraid to be by himself (especially at night) well we have made some progress!!!! Sunday night he started to have to go to bed by himself....it is in my room but that is because papa Bernie is living with us right now and he is using Aarons room....well Sunday night was pretty hard on Aaron, I turned the TV onto the classical musical channel and he cried and cried and wanted to be with me but stuck to my guns and made him stay there and he eventually fell asleep. Monday night was a little better, turned it onto classical music and he took Angel to bed with him and then Angel left him so he cried himself to sleep again. Tuesday was actually a little better, I turned it onto classical music and started to leave the room when he told me he didn't like this music and asked if I would find something else so I started to surf the channels looking for something, stopped on soft rock, jazz, opera and a few others and he didn't want any of them (something clicked in my head that this was a ploy to keep me in the room) then I came to 80's hair bands, I didn't think he would like it but he did and that was what he listened to! Tonight it was time for bed so we went into the room and I turned it on classical music and told him to climb into bed and he said "mom I want the same music I had last night I don't like this music!" so I channel surfed again and I stopped on the 80's hair band music to see if he would again say that was what he wanted and he said "this is it" after 5 minutes he was asleep!!! I couldn't believe it! Has it been all along that I have been having him listen to the wrong music and that is why he would never go to sleep for me? I will have to try it again tomorrow!
Now on to the picky food eater......he tried a chicken leg tonight and he actually liked it!!! It took some persuading but he liked it! Kaylee and I talked about him not eating the bone and not give the bone to the dogs and I think we ended up grossing him out a little. He ate about 1/2 of the chicken leg and said he didn't want anymore and the next time we have it to take the bone off of it. Do you think the reason he doesn't eat meat is because it comes from animals? Could that be a possibility? Could he be a vegetarian and I never knew it? I am going to have to look into this a little bit more to see if I notice any other clues that might make me think he is this way!
There is no way this child will ever be able to deny me.......not just because he looks like a Vlcek and is an extremely picky eater but now he likes 80's hair bands, my favorite kind of music! How could he not be mine?

Will we be here tomorrow?
According to Kidd Kraddick in the morning today is our last day on earth......yep it is to all end today!
Meet you all in each of our Makers home if he speaks the truth!
(But I am sure we will all still be here tomorrow)

tonight is Aarons first soccer practice
Unfortunately it is canceled because of the wonderful rain! You have to take the bad with good!
and he said let there be rain
Its raining, its pouring, the old man is snoring........
It is actually raining outside! It is an absolute miracle! It rained a little bit last night and tonight it is extremely overcast out right now so I think it might rain for a little while. We need a consistent rain for the next couple days to soak up the ground and get us out of this horrible drought that we have had. I have my fingers crossed.

maybe its just me?
The kids made it home safe and sound today. Kaylee called me after they got their snack and told me all about her day. She is so excited to have Mrs. Smart and lockers and she gets to switch rooms and 2 of her very good friends are in the same class with her! She had a fantastic day like I knew she would. She got her homework done right away (thats a promising start but I am sure there will be future blogs about me fighting with her to get it done so be prepared)
Next it was Aarons turn to tell me about his day, he got on the phone and told me he had a great time and that he will go back tomorrow! YEAH!!!!!! We have jumped into kindergartenism and he has accepted it! He told me he made some new friends and there are some friends from daycare in other classes (other then Paul) that he was excited to see. He said he met a girl but couldn't remember her name (she sits beside him) Other then that he didn't tell me much more except that he had a great day. Do you think I worried for nothing? Naw.....he is my baby, aren't I expected to worry?

I didn't see it coming......
I have always despised mothers who go on and on and on about how their baby is growing up and watching them cry about it. They are going to grow up so why not accept this and enjoy it while you can (now if we were talking about my age then there is an entirely different story there) I do admit that it makes me a little sad to see my kids get older but I enjoy them so much that I am just happy to be around them and I suck their youth all in. Today was the day I turned into one of those mothers that drive me crazy and I never even saw it coming!
Today was the first day of school, now from previous posts you know that Kaylee can't wait for this day to come and Aaron is less then enthusiastic about it. This morning we got up nice and early and Aaron was doing really good. He went with me to take Kaylee to school and watched as we did our routine of taking pictures with Amanda Rochell and a picture with the teacher. Then we headed back home because Kindergarten didn't start until 9:00 today. We watched a little bit of TV and then it was time to go. He was honestly really excited, kept asking me when it was going to start. We sat with Dylan in the cafeteria and we ran into Paul at the restroom, now its time to go into the classrooms, we make our way there through the lovely crowd and look for Aarons cubby to put his backpack away, then we sat at the table that had his name on it (front row....do you think Mrs. Peralez had a premonition?) Paul is in Aarons class so he at least knows someone. I was filling out paperwork as Aaron took it all in. Mrs. McKnight came and asked all of the Kinders to follow her for a tour around the school, Aaron told me to come with him but I told him I couldn't and that I would be right there and wouldn't leave without saying goodbye and for him to have fun. Mrs. Peralez talked the entire hour about things to expect and rules and lunches and so on, she seems very nice and looks like she has a lot of patience (lets hope so, she is a kindergarten teacher) then she told us we could leave, my stomach dropped.........I thought to myself "leave? I can't! I told Aaron I would say goodbye to him I can't leave without saying goodbye" (I have never been one to just leave my kids, I always say goodbye......even if they cry they at least know that I left and won't go around the house searching for me and getting scared, I do not want them to have any abandonment issues and sneaking out on your kids is exactly what that does to them) All of the kinders were in the cafeteria practicing how to go through the lunch line and they had the door shut, I asked Mrs Lyons if we were going to be able to say goodbye to the kids, she didn't tell me no but she did say it was easier on the kids to do it this way. Well you can imagine my frustration as tears flooded my eyes, I was not going to be able to say goodbye to my son, the reality hit hard!!!! As I looked around I noticed other kinder parents waiting around, did they feel the same way that I felt? What were they waiting for? A couple parents went into the cafeteria to put money in their lunch accounts.......why didn't I bring my purse in? That could have been my way into the room! So I continued to stand there. Bobby went in and put money on Dylan's account and told me that Aaron was absolutely fine and I believed him but I still couldn't force my legs to start walking, I continued to wait and wait and wait some more. Finally it was his classes turn to leave the cafeteria. I could see him having a wonderful time as tears flooded my eyes again, talking with the little boy behind him.....that's my Aaron talking the kids ear off I'm sure.....I yelled softly "Aaron.....Aaron?" he turned and looked at me with my tearful eyes. I blew him a kiss and waved goodbye, he stopped what he was doing and looked at me with the saddest eyes that said "why are you leaving me?" He was close to tears and then the teacher asked him to continue walking because he was holding up the line so he turned and I turned.
Now I ask you what was worse? Me leaving without saying goodbye or him knowing that I was leaving and getting upset? I don't know. I do know I would have felt 10 times worse if I hadn't got to say goodbye to him. I needed that for me but did it really benefit him? I just don't know. I want to say it did but he was doing so good and the look on his face was ultimate fear! My poor baby boy..........

Nightly beginnings
What a day, it started out a little lazy but then we headed off to wal-mart to get food for the kids lunches. The middle of last year Kaylee started to eat at school but she said she wants to start this year off by taking her lunch and she will decide later on if she will eat at school. Aaron on the other hand will probably always take his lunch.....very picky eater, he chose a cheese sandwich with no crust, jello, chips, and pretzels, juice and water to drink. I hope he eats fast enough because sometimes he gets a little distracted and forgets that he is supposed to be eating....I might be more nervous then him!!! (I doubt it but maybe)
After we got home we went swimming. I thought this was a good plan so that it wears them out and they actually fall asleep, still awake right now but hopefully soon they will be asleep.
Then it was bath time and right after that they ate supper.
Then they each picked out the clothes that they wanted wear (Aaron actually picked what he wore today so I threw it in the washing machine so it is nice and clean for him) Then it was off to bed, I will let you know tomorrow how the first day goes.

game night
We went over to our neighbors house and played some games tonight. We played the card game BS first....very fun but I really am not a very good BS'er.....I tried and I fooled them a couple times but the majority I was caught. Then we played Catch Phrase....very fun game if you have never played before, highly recommend it.
Now it is midnight and we are all tired and ready for bed so that is were I am headed.

schools in session
Today was meet the teacher night at school. Matt, the kids and I all piled into the car to go see what teachers the kids got and crossed our fingers that Aaron and Dylan would be together. We got the Kinder list and Aaron got Mrs. Perlez (still trying to pronounce it correctly but not doing a very good job with it) We walked down to his class and she tried her hardest to get him to talk but he wasn't doing it. (by the way Dylan got Mrs. Spradling so they aren't even going to be able to support each other) I know Aaron is going to have a very hard time Monday morning but we will get through it. He came up with a "deal", that if I get off work early I will come to the school, we all know that isn't going to happen but it is giving him a little comfort and that is what he needs right now.
Kaylee has wanted Mrs. Smart all summer long and she got her! We were so excited and Reace and McKenzie are both in her class, it was a good day for Kaylee. She is in the "big" part of the school now, she even has lockers and will switch classes throughout the day with Mrs. Green. She is growing up right before our eyes and I don't know how to get her to stop! She will be a teenager before I know it!
I will let you know how Monday goes. Keep your fingers crossed that Aaron pulls himself out of his shyness and loosens up quickly. I know once he gets started he is going to LOVE it.

Starbucks morning
I met Donette and Bala at Starbucks this morning. Starbucks is so good! It is a little expensive but so good! We were standing in line and all of a sudden my purse is being pulled off of my shoulder, I turned and looked and it was my VP from work. We laughed and then he hugged me!!! (I didn't tell you but Donette and Bala have made it a goal to hug me every day to try and get me use to people touching me). We all sat down then and Ron told us all about his many girlfriends (he is recently divorced and having a great time) It was defiantly a little strange but its good for me to see him in a different "fun" light.

They arrested someone
They arrested a man for little JonBennet murder. It is about time. I pray this is the actual person who did it and he is behind bars for life!
Zayra is gone
Zayra is finally gone on Rockstar....I have been waiting for this moment for about 4 weeks and tonight it happened!
Aaron was actually a little sad....said he loved her. (and then Kaylee said 'oh you LOVE her!".....the teasing has begun!) Because of that I didn't gloat to much, will save that for tomorrow morning at the office.

another Joshawa update
Josh went back to Colorado on Monday because his skin grafting wasn't taking so they set him up to have another one. (that might be putting it a little lightly but you get the point) they couldn't do anything because he has an infection going on, they put him on antibiotics and set up for him to come back another time. Poor guy, he just can't catch a break!
To make things even better (sarcasms) there was a huge storm in Rapid with 80 mile an hour winds and it blew my sisters roof off of her house! Literally. Tiff was at home with a few friends and she was babysitting 2 kids. Can you imagine! Dad and Travis went over and put up some tarps but there wasn't much else they could do about it. the insurance agent was to come out today to assess the damage and they will go from there.
I'll keep you posted.

a day at the Hansen's
I found this really cute, and it is very Matt and I.....
When our lawn mower broke and wouldn't run, my wife kept hinting to me that I should get it fixed. But, somehow I always had something else to take care of first, the truck, the car, fishing, always
something more important to me.
Finally she thought of a clever way to make her point. When I arrived home one day, I found her seated in the tall grass, busily snipping away with a tiny pair of sewing scissors. I watched silently
for a short time and then went into the house.
I was gone only a few minutes. When I came out again I handed her a toothbrush. "When you finish cutting the grass," I said, "you might as well sweep the sidewalk."
The doctors say I will walk again, but I will always have a limp.
Marriage is a relationship in which one person is always right, and the other is a husband.

Sad neighborhood news.......
I have noticed the past month or so that my neighbor (3 houses down) hasn't been home. Her husband is there but her car is NEVER there. A couple weeks ago I noticed a small uhaul trailer but I wasn't able to go and see what was up because once again her car was never there. I saw Brad outside the other day pulling weeds (at 7 AM) which struck me as a little odd but hey who am I tell someone when they should pull their weeds out of their flower beds. This morning I did see Nicki when I drove by on my way to work.....she waved and I did the same thing. After I got home from work there was a doorbell ring and Aaron came and got me to tell me that Olivias (Kaylees good friend) was at the door. I went out front and she asked if she could speak to me alone so I sent the kids in. She started to cry so I hugged her and asked her what was the matter (those of you that know me know I had a hard time with that because I hate to touch people! But I didn't hesitate at all, I just did it.....I am getting better, must be because Donette hugs me every chance she can get to try and help me get use to people) Her and Brad are divorced now, it has been going on since March and it is finalized, she didn't tell anyone because she didn't want anyone to know until she was on her feet. Her and the kids are living in a nearby city but they are still attending the elementary over here because it is by far a better school. She wanted to know if they could come here after school until Brad gets home and then she would pick them up there after she got of work. She said her and Brad are really good friends and that he helped her move and he is a wonderful person but they fell out of love with each other and called it quits. Thank goodness they can remain friends it will make it so much easier on both of them and the kids won't feel the tension of it all.
I didn't even have to thing about the kids coming here, she has done so much for us over these past few years that even if I didn't want I couldn't tell her no....thankfully her kids are wonderful and they won't be a bother at all so it will all be good. They will be here a couple hours and then Brad will be home. She offered to give us money but I told her no way.....just help us by snacks and that is all we need.
I feel so bad that another friend of mines marriage is over but at least she is taking control of her life and getting things going in the right direction.....with them both being friendly with each other the kids won't hurt as much....they will still hurt but I believe (and this is not from experience because Matt and I are still together and my parents have been married 47 years this month) I believe it is harder when the parents don't get along. I wish her and Brad happiness.

Angel
Angel went to the vet yesterday to get fixed....no babies in this household.....cost more then we were expecting because she had 2 baby teeth that were still hanging around even though her permanent teeth had come through and they had to pull them so they wouldn't rot and make her good teeth go rotten. She laid around quite a bit last night but was a lot perkier then Jack was after we had him done. She seems to be doing ok, she started to run around this morning so I had to yell at her to stop, don't need her opening up her stitches and having us make a second trip to the vet.
Annalese Marie
Congratulations to my sister and her family on their new addition. Annalese Marie was born 08/09/06 at 11:37 weighing 7 pounds and 9 ounces. Sher said she is nice and healthy and they are both doing fine. Hopefully they will both be leaving the hospital today....has to see what the doctor says.
soccer evaluations
I took Aaron to soccer evaluations this morning, he didn't want to get up to go, kept telling me "just 10 more minutes mom" but he eventually got up and got dressed. He had to do 3 tasks, the first was to run from one line to the next to see how fast he was.....10 seconds, then he had to kick the soccer ball as fast as could down these crooked lines......not so fast, seemed to take him time, took him 32 seconds, next was kicking the ball into the goal, 3 shots....he got it in every time. He isn't that excited about soccer this year, he wanted to do t-ball again. I had to explain to him that they don't offer t-ball in the Fall and that if he does good in soccer he will be able to go out for t-ball. That seemed to work for now. Please don't think I am forcing him to do this, he told me a couple weeks ago that he wanted to do soccer so I signed him up and paid for the season, I am just teaching him that he has to follow through with commitments.
Talladega Nights
Last night was our family night out, pizza and a movie. We went to the new pizza place and it was ok. Buffets aren't my favorites but it seemed ok and nothing grossed me out so it was ok. Matt and the kids liked it. Then we went to the movies, Talladega Nights, I loved it! I laughed so hard through the entire movie. Matt thought it was ok and the kids enjoyed it. If you are wondering if it is appropriate for children I would have to say no.....about 20 minutes into it I thought "hmmmm, that was wired and the kids probably shouldn't have seen it" but we sat through it all and took our chances. At the end Ricky Bobby kisses another man and Aaron said to me "boys aren't suppose to do that!" I told him he was right, he didn't ask any other questions and he didn't make any other comments so he isn't that curious yet but I am sure it is on its way.

I confessed my infatuation to Matt
I told Matt that I ordered Ryan Stars CD today and that I am infautated with the Hottie......he said "I guess I will have to go on a diet and have you become infatuated with me again."
date night
Matt hates the movie theater and only goes when I beg him to take me......he just got done calling me and asked me if I wanted (along with the kids) to go to the new pizza place tomorrow and go and see Talladega Nights.......To ask me if I was shocked is an understatement!
swimming
The kids wanted to go swimming tonight so I told them we would. I just put shorts and sat on the steps but the kids swam. Aaron is getting a little braver....he was actually going around the pool holding on to the edge (something he would never do before) and Kaylee is all over the place! She is such a good swimmer. Under and below the water! I told her to do some somersaults but she told me she quit doing them because "her head gets brain washed when she does it" I gave her a funny look and she said she gets really dizzy and doesn't know where she is and she doesn't like that so she has stopped doing them all together! Funny girl.
Hottie Ryan Star
I ordered Ryan Stars CD's online today! I cannot wait to get them....one is him and his band Stage (they are broke up now) and the other is just him. I was able to listen to a little bit of the Stage cd online, they had little 20 second snipits and it sounded pretty good. The one of just him though didn't have it so I don't know what kind of music it is....I am sure I will love it though because Ryan Star is singing and we all (And if you didn't now you do) know that I am infatuated with him.
"Did you give your blood away again?'
Today after work I went to Mesquite and donated blood....not my favorite thing to do but really it doesn't bother me so I donate when I can. This was a new place for me, they closed the place in Rowlett that I use to go to. It was a really nice place....lots of chairs to donate blood. I wasn't sure if I would be able to donate because of all the motrin I took last week because of my teeth but the lady said it was fine....the lady started to take my blood and she didn't cover my arm up, I thought that was a little gross...seeing this huge needle in my arm with this huge drop of blood covering it....I tried not to look at it to much because it made me a little sick but my eyes kept wondering towards it. I suppose the smart thing to do would be to ask her to cover it up but no one has blamed me for being very smart and I didn't do it.....just kidding, actually what it was I don't know how to talk to people so I rarely speak up! I just dealt with it. After she took my pint of blood she wrapped my arm with some neon green gauze and sent me on my way. As soon as I walked into the door Aaron looked at me and said "Did you give your blood away again?" I laughed a little to myself and told him yes I did. He doesn't quite understand the purpose of doing it but some day he will (And actually I do it for the greater good of me, mankind is just an added perk......they are still getting my blood so I don't want to hear a word out anyone for my selfish ways)

cute blog about Rockstar
OK, I tried my hardest not to talk about Rockstar Supernova but this was so cute that I had to!
Tonight was the elimination show and I was extremely nervous.... I knew who should be in the bottom 3 but you never know how the votes are going to go so I was very nervous for cutie-pie Toby Rand and heart-throb Ryan Star, the 2 males that I want to win and I do not want to choose between the 2 of them.......first Zayra she started to go the stage and was told to sit down.....why I do not know because she is horrible but I guess she got the votes so she was safe....next up Jill, she did a pretty good job but I said before she wasn't going to win this competition....next up Josh, now Josh is adorable and has a beautiful voice but I knew all along that he wasn't going to win....he isn't the right person to front their band. Now we are down to the last one and it was RYAN STAR!!! How could that be he did so good last night! What is wrong with these voters? He did good and was told to sit down because they are going to give him another chance.....I was finally able to breath again, my Ryan Star was safe from elimination......Tommy Lee got right to it and told both Josh and Jill that they were sending both of them home (I can hardly wait to read Dave Navaros blog tomorrow to see what he says about it) I couldn't believe it, both of them are gone! Inevitable but dang!!!! Pretty harsh Tommy Lee!
Now for the cute part that I wanted to share with you but had to tell you all of the above first.......
Jill was done singing and Kaylee and Aaron both decided that they liked her, next up was Josh (who did an awesome job) he was singing away, bobbing his head to the music and Aaron was watching him intently. All of a sudden he said "I don't like him, boys don't wear earrings only girls!" I told him he was right that boys shouldn't wear them. (no offense if any of you boys out there wear earrings but I don't want my son wearing them and this is a good way to instill it) He was so cute telling me that! I guess I should also teach him that you shouldn't judge a book by its cover but we'll save that for another day!

my imaginative son
I think Aaron can read my mind at times, not only does he have an imaginary friend but some things he comes up with are ironically close to what I think....let me start at the beginning.......
When I went into labor with Aaron is was night time, February 5th. Matt and I got to the hospital about 11:30 that night, they got me hooked up to all of the monitors and gave me that wonderful epidural shot in the back (those of you who don't know, I had Kaylee drug free and it was the worst pain ever! I wasn't going to be doing that with Aaron and I don't feel like I bonded more with Kaylee then Aaron because of it, I think I bonded with both of them the same.....yes someone said that to me) so anyway they hooked me up to all of the machines and gave me the shot and we were on our way into delivering the little angel.....my point to all of this is sometimes I get "confused" on his birth date. I do not forget when it is I just have to think about when it is before I say anything.
Now to the present and what Aaron wants to do with his birthday.....he is convinced that we can change his birthday to the 5th so that he will be 6 sooner. I did tell him that you can't just change your birthday, it is the day that you came into this world and you can't change it. He told me his birthday is now on the 5th and there is nothing I can do about it!

House is a mess again! Will they ever get it?
I walked in the door to find a mess once again! These kids are driving me crazy. This is why I need school to start so that my house can stay clean again.

Joshawa update
I called mom and dad tonight to make sure dad made it home ok from his long drive from Oklahoma and he did. They told me that Josh's skin grafting is not taking so he has another appointment in Greely on Monday to do another one. Mom said he was very depressed because of it.....can't blame him. I would be depressed also! Having to go through that again, poor guy. He still needs our prayers to get in through this so "keep em coming" (Donette thats for you)
I hate grass
Yesterday wore me out! It was a somewhat nice day. Overcast and it rained in Garland, not here but it was still a lot nicer then it has been. Stifling heat is driving me crazy! I am ready for Fall to be here. I came home and had to tell Matt to get the yard weed-eated (I attempted to do it a couple years and ended up weed-eating Matts leg so I haven't touched it again) he was watching TV and kept telling me just a minute. After the 5th time of telling him I had to threaten him that I would cancel this cable if he didn't get up and do it, we have a DVR so there is no reason why he couldn't press the pause button and get busy so that I could get the yard done. Apparently I hit a nerve with that one because he pressed the pause button and got up to go and weed-eat. I let him get a good start then I filled the mower up with gas and started to do my part.....sweat rolling down my face, hair hanging in my eyes I had to stop to take a drink of water and get a headband, for it being a lot cooler out and overcast I certainly sweat my behind off! I started to mow the side of the house and the mower died on me and somehow I bent the wheel of the mower (Honestly I don't know how it happened. I would love to blame it on the fact that the wheel was already bent but I really don't think so because I couldn't push the mower anymore and before it was moving just fine so somehow I bent the wheel)I had to stop again and wait for Matt to finish edging so he could fix the wheel. Took him about 20 minutes to get it all fixed and then I was ready to go again, I pulled the string and nothing, so I pulled the string again and nothing, so I pulled the string again and still nothing. I had to have Matt come out and try to start it for me. He pulled and nothing, pulled again and nothing! He said in a very grumpy tone....."I don't know!" I didn't say anything but you can imagine what I was thinking to myself.....he tried a couple more times and eventually got it so I started to mow again....the side of the house, it kept trying to die on me because the grass was so tall but I got it done and then I got the back done......my hair was soaked with sweat and I was dying of thirst but it is complete..I hate being the lazy neighbor and refuse to be classified as it so I have vowed to never wait 3 weeks again to mow this stupid grass!
time to retrain the kids
The kids have been home for 3 days and we are already back into our old routine of making a mess and not cleaning it up. Drive me crazy! The past 2 days I have come home from work and had to make them clean up the living room. Today I took it a step further and used some threats. We were suppose to go to CiCi's Pizza but that was taken away and Kaylee was told that we will not even discuss a cell phone for her 10th birthday if I have to tell her 1 more time to keep her room cleaned. It drives me crazy how they can both be so messy.....am I doing something wrong? How am I suppose to teach them to clean up after themselves because it is obvious that what I am doing is not working! Help me internet friends, I am at a loss of what to do.

the kids are home
Matt and I left Friday late afternoon to head up to Oklahoma City to get our wonderful children. This was absolutely the longest drive to OKC that I have ever been on! Not just from the excitement of us getting our children back but also because of how the traffic was......rush hour on a Friday afternoon is horrible! We finally made it there about 9 PM, we rang the door bell and Kaylee came screaming into my arms and then her dads, Aaron was yelling "mom.....mom.....mom" he was taking a bath so I went in and talked to him and told him to hurry up and finish so that I could get my hello hug from him. The kids were like leaches all night to Matt and I....Aaron had to sleep right next to me. Saturday we went and ate at Beckys restaurant....they make the best biscuits and gravy ever so I was sure to have that....then we went back to Beckys and talked to everyone. We left last night at 8 PM and got home about 1:00, it was a long ride but very enjoyable. Aaron fell asleep pretty quick but Kaylee gabbed almost the entire way home, filling us in on things that they did, she was a definite jabber-jaws, I sucked it all in because I haven't got this from her in a while. I do think both kids grew a couple inches thank goodness because they both needed to, some how both of my kids are short.....not sure how that is possible but it is the truth they are shorties!
Today the kids and I went school clothes shopping. We got the essentials like socks and underwear but we also had to get a few shirts and a few pants. Mom did really good in getting the kids a ton of clothes so we really didn't have to get a lot. They picked out their backpacks and lunch bags, when we got home we put all of their school supplies in their new bags.....Kaylee can't wait for school to start but Aaron on the other hand really doesn't want to go. I know he will be fine but the first couple days are going to be pretty rough for us, he will get it though and I know he will love it.
Kaylee is organizing her room right now and is begging for help so I will post some more later.

I'm afraid I made a GRAVE mistake.
I went to my oral surgeon today for my consultation on having my wisdom teeth removed. They had me fill out a ton of paperwork (I know that always happens) and then they had me watch a video on what to expect when having them removed. I did watch the video and I learned a lot! I also learned that I am really nervous about being put to sleep to have this done. They took some new x-rays so that Dr. Miller knew what he was looking at. I was sitting in the room waiting for him to come in when he knocked on the door and introduced himself. He shook my hand and then asked me if I had my bottom wisdom teeth removed or if I was just a lucky one.....I replied that I am a lucky one (I don't have any) and we both laughed. He told me that taking out the top teeth is going to be a piece of cake.....20 to 25 minutes tops. Then he examined my teeth, not really sure what he was doing because he put something metal in my mouth and looked around back there. I was thinking he was measuring the distance to make sure he could get in there but honestly I don't know! Then he sat down and we talked....he asked me if I wanted to be put under or if I wanted gas and I told him that I didn't know, I asked if one was better then the other and he said no. He said if I wanted to sleep all day then to be put under because it will make me sleep all day (I thought maybe I should do that just to get some sleep) and he said if I am not afraid of injections then to use the gas but the decision was mine. I have had dental work done before (cursed with bad teeth) and the needle has never bothered me so I asked if there would be any pain and he said no there will just be pressure. Then I asked about having to dig the other tooth out if that would hurt and he said no just pressure. I thought about for a few minutes and decided on the gas.......I am really afraid that if I am put under I will never wake up. Hopefully I made the right decision.

the consultation has been made
Tomorrow I go in for my consultation to have my wisdom teeth removed. I am not looking forward to this surgery but at least I won't have the temptation of ripping my face off any more! Now there will just be holes in my gums.....small price to pay right.
another blog on Rockstar
I am sure you are tired of hearing me talk about Rockstar Supernova but I have to tell you one more thing about it.
Ryan Star was so awesome last night singing Losing My Religion that he has stolen my heart, and I have come to the realization that he reminds me a lot of Matt......not just the handsome dark looks but he always looks mad. That is so Matt! He normally isn't mad but he always has a scowl on his face.....a friend at work told me once at blueberry picking that he as going to come and talk to us but the look on Matts face made him decide against it...thought he was in a bad mood.

He normally isn't mad but he always has a scowl on his face.....a friend at work told me once at blueberry picking that he as going to come and talk to us but the look on Matts face made him decide against it...thought he was in a bad mood.
I'm a little disappointed
You all know that I am an EXTREME fan on Rockstar Supernova......my opinion is that its the best show on TV right now. Tonight was the elimination show....the bottom 3 get one last chance to redeem themselves by singing another song and Supernova decides from there who will go. Bottom 3 was a little surprising but not shocking.....
Jill - she does ok but she isn't going to win.
Dana - has come so far and is really good but she isn't going to win.
Patrice - was horrible last night with Tommy Lee on drums but normally she does ok but she also will not win.
(Zayra and Lucas should have both been in the bottom 3 because they are both horrible but for some reason wasn't)
Anyway Jill did an awesome job and Dana did really good again also but Patrice really wasn't that good......Supernova collaborated with each other and decided that Dana should be the one! I am very sad that they chose this but it was inevitable to happen......If I didn't love Toby and Ryan so much I would stop watching this show but because I do love them I will continue, I'll just be a little disappointed in their decision.

Happy Birthday
Many of you might not know but today is Harry Potter's birthday! Just a few short years ago he came into my life and now I can't imagine my life without the fictional character!
my murderous dogs
My lovely dogs attempted to murder a bird today. Matt said he was watching them outside and he saw something white fly into the air (looked like cotton he said) he was wondering what it was so he asked his dad to go down and look.....it was a poor defenseless little bird. Bernie picked it up and let it get fly away....hope its ok.
Carolina
I watched this movie last night. It has Julia Stiles in it and it was so good! If you get a chance watch it!
My favorite dentist
I went and seen my favorite dentist this afternoon and he told me what I already knew.....my wisdom tooth is what is bothering me and I have to have them removed. The left one is coming in crooked so nasty little things are getting stuck up there and inflaming it (hence my problem the last couple days) he touched it with the pik and blood started oozing out of it (I know...GROSS) I have to call and make an appointment with Dr. Miller, the oral surgeon tomorrow so I can get it into the works.
Joshawa
I really don't know a lot on Josh....he is at home and Kaylee told me his face is healing very well. Not really sure what that means but when I talk to mom and dad I will let you know.
