Snow

It is freezing cold here! Snow is on the ground and most people are using caution while driving. I hate it when the weather is like this! I moved away from this for a reason.
After school the kids with the neighbor kid from across the street decided to play outside in the snow. (I said to Matt play with what? There is nothing to play" But he made a valid point.....this is what they are use to. They aren't use to "feet" of snow.) Anyway they decided to go outside and play and I am pretty sure they had a great time. They came inside extremely cold though and decided that they wanted to take a bath so they could warm up.......I remember those days!

bad day

Today was a completely crappy day! It seems like everything I did was wrong and the things that people have told me to do in the past that are ending up being wrong I forgot to get get written confirmation from that person to prove that it wasn't my idea so that ended up being my fault also! What a horrible day for me!
Tomorrow will be better!!!!!!

Cookie meeting

Tonight was the Girl Scout cookie meeting for the "cookie mom coordinator" Danni and I do it together but honestly I let her take the brunt of the work. The first year I did it all by myself and I swore that I would never do that again so the next year Danni and I did it together and that is how we have been doing it since then....this is our 3rd year together (my 4th) It really isn't that hard just sort of tedious with all the paper work but this year it is changing....it has been headed this way the entire I have been doing this but this year is the one where almost all of it is done online......that takes a huge load off when we have to count money and count cookies.....well hopefully it will. The way it looks and sounds it should. I guess we will see once January, February and March come around. January is the start of selling them and turning in the paperwork so we get our cookies, February is when we get our cookies and the start of booth sales (yuck....I hate them) and March is when we send in all the money!
I guess you really don't want to hear me talk about all the logistics of cookies, just keep in mind that she starts to sell them in January!!!

First day back

First day back at work and talk about a work load that I have! Not sure if I will ever get caught back up. Just kidding.....there is a lot to do but I will get there eventually, it will just take me a little while to get there.
I went and worked out tonight. I did a mile and 1/2 on the stupid machine that I HATE!!! (can't spell it either, I can barely pronounce it also!) I was pretty much done after that too. I didn't even have enough energy to do the weights. I am going to have to do them first next time so I can get everything done. I also found out that I have only gone 11 times since I started this......how can that be? I feel like I have gone a million times and hated every second of it. I am going to have to step it up and get 13 more done before the end of December so I can be paid back.....wish me luck!
On another note, woke up very late this morning. Kaylee was a few minutes late for choir (not good) but surprisingly I wasn't late for work....I hit the traffic just right so I didn't get caught in anything, thank goodness. Tomorrow will be better!

Arizona Thanksgiving

Sorry I haven't posted anything in a while but I have been in Arizona without a computer. I will try my best to update you as to what happened on our wonderful vacation.
We arrived Saturday around 11. Matt took a nap and the kids and I went to watch Sarahs soccer game. She was fun to watch. Very good.
It was sort of a lazy day for us. We were tired so we didn't do to much.
Sunday was a day for talking and catching up with each other. Mom and dad got there pretty early. I want to say around 5 that afternoon but I could be wrong. Scott lit a fire in the chiminea outside and we sat around it and talked. it was so nice. I want one of those things. I am already planning my backyard as to how I am going to set it up. I can't wait.
Wednesday was Annaleses baptism. Matt and I are her Godparents. Isn't that great. It was a beautiful ceremony. Father Liam is very in tune to children and made my kids and Shers kids feel very much a part of it. He gave us a bottle of holy water to take home but I think I left it at Shers house....so when you read this Sher put it away.
Thanksgiving was wonderful. Awesome food. dad made the turkey and the stuffing and we all made the rest of it. Ok I didn't actually do a lot but I did help out a little bit. Mom made Grandma Mays cheese cake......YUM!!!! She made it Wednesday night but we decided that we wanted to eat it so we ate the entire pan and made another pan Thanksgiving day. Delicious.
We also went to a mission. Tumoccori (not sure if I spelled that right) the kids all did the Jr. Ranger program and we walked around reading up on this mission. Then Matt, mom, Kaylee, J.T., and I went to Mexcio. Mexcio is always fun but at the same time scary. You have men coming up to you from all directions....it is a very uneasy feeling. We bought a few things. I got a new circle of friends and a few toys for the kids. Kaylee for a new bracelet (and so did I) It was fun.
Friday we went to the zoo....that was fun. We had been there before and the last time we had a behind the scenes tour but this time was just as much fun. Seeing the excitement in a childs eyes......such a wonderful feeling you get from that.
We ended up leaving Arizona Saturday morning. The plan was to leave Friday some time but we got busy and the kids wanted to stay one more night so we did. We left at 5:30 Saturday morning and drove all day. Arrived here about 10:30 last night.

It was a great trip and I have a ton of pictures to down load but once again it won't let me. I will try again after I post this.

piano

Kaylee had piano yesterday but she wasn't able to practice last night because she left her book in Matts truck and he wasn't going to bring it to her at 9:00 last night so tonight was her first practice.......I have found out why her song didn't sound right.....She had her left hand placed wrong and because I know nothing about piano I couldn't correct her on it!

Bittersweet Doctors

Today was Aarons big doctor appointment day. 2 different doctors in one day.....big stuff going on.
First was his Opthamologist in Plano. His appointment wasn't until 9:30 so he came to work with me for an hour and then we were off to see the doctor. We got there right at 9:30 and the waiting room was almost completely full! (reminded me of our family doctor) We had to sit and wait for close to an hour before we even got called back. The nurse had him do the eye chart and I must tell you, he did awesome! He doesn't need glasses! The the Doctor came in and looked into his eyes. He said he was going to dilate them to get a better look but so far everything looked good (I wiped the sweat off my brow) The nurse came in to do the drops and Aaron sat like there like the big boy that he and let her put them in....he told me that they hurt and I could tell that they did by the look on his face. poor baby.....then off to the waiting room we went to sit some more while he eyes dilated. About 30 minutes later they called us back in. Doctor came in to look and made a few comments about what a good patient he is, he was even able to use the adult machine on him because he behaved so well (I take full credit for that) Then he told me that he is not concerned at all with his eye disease. It hasn't progressed at all and he doesn't think we have anything to worry about, but because his uncle has pretty much gone blind he wants to see him again in a year. He must have seen the shocked look on my face because after he said that and looked at me he reassured me that he doesn't think Aaron will ever get it but he wants to keep an eye on him.
Now to give you a little back ground when we found about Aarons eye disease they reassured me and Matt that it had nothing to do with the one that Mike had. And they said the one Mike has isn't hereditary. I have never thought about it again (I wish I could tell you the name but I can never remember it) I completely went by what they said and left it at that. The docotor didn't tell me anything different this time but I think it was the fact that all of a sudden he wants to see him every year to just "watch" it. That completely makes me nervous and honestly it made me sad the rest of the day. I am not going to start worrying about it but it will be in the back of my mind forever now!

Now onto this afternoon, Aaron went for his follow up with his ENT. A couple weeks ago he had blood drawn to see what he is allergic to and this is the visit where he tells us to not give him milk or to stay away from animals or something like that. The doctor said he isn't allergic to anything, I was dumbfounded! How can that be? Aaron has horrible allergies, talks through his nose, it runs all the time and when it isn't running it is plugged up and when it isn't doing that he has a bloody nose so how can he not be allergic to anything? I don't understand? I do know that it is good that he isn't allergic to anything and I am happy for that but why does this happen to him then? I am a t a loss for words because I just don't understand!!!

Now you can see why I named this blog as being bittersweet........Both appointments were good but both of them left me with 1000 questions that I don't think they are going to be able to give the answers to.

If you remember this Betty you will appreciate it

I am going to start this blog with a little bit of history........
A long time ago, I was pregnant with Kaylee and I had a morning doctor appointment. After that I went to work (wow this was forever ago.....I was still at the Childrens Center) 2 of my coworkers (Betty and Patsy) told me that I was lucky I wasn't there that morning because Patsy stepped on a spider to kill it and when she did all these baby spiders went everywhere. They had to scramble to get them all.
Now those of you that know me know that I don't like spiders or bugs or nasty roaches or anything of that sort, they scare me and I don't like to be scared, so as they told me this I thought to myself, I really didn't want to know this story. It is going to stick with me forever! And you can see from this blog the memory of it has stuck with me.
Now to what happened to me.......
last night after Kaylee went to bed she told she was thirsty and asked me to bring her some fresh water in her water bottle. I walked into the kitchen and there was a spider staring at me. It was rather large but not so large that I couldn't step on it with my shoe (thank goodness I still had my shoes on) I stomped on it and as I was looking down all these tiny things started crawling all over the place. Freaked me out!!! I realized right away what was happening so I started stomping my foot everywhere to kill the little things. There was at least 15 of those nasty things! I got them all though.
I really think if Betty and Patsy hadn't told me this story I would have panicked! Thank goodness for small miracles!

Anxious Parents

I found this article and found it interesting. My friends and I talk about this stuff all the time.
When I was a kid, if it wasn't a school day or a soccer weekend I was off in the woods with my dog or with my neighborhood friends. My family lived on a forested hill on the outskirts of town—exactly the kind of place an adventurous kid would want to grow up. There were creeks to dam, dirt mounds to jump bikes off of, tree forts to build, new and winding trails to explore. In winter, with a foot of new snow to track out, it was even better. I would leave in the morning, after doing chores, and as long as I made it home at the agreed-upon time, or checked in by phone if I ended up at a friend's house, all was good. I was free for the day. Can you imagine letting your kids roam free today? That is, free all day, unsupervised and without a cell phone or BlackBerry or homing device strapped to their waists? There's something about our world in 2006—the seemingly ever-present threat of shooters, kidnappers, predators, drug dealers, scammers, or natural hazards like ponds and wells—that makes the child-rearing freedoms of yesteryear seem dangerous and anachronistic. And yet somehow, we survived. My mom and dad were great parents. They were involved in all aspects of my childhood, but when it came to just being a kid, they backed off. They gave me a lot of space to grow and learn and explore and figure things out on my own or with friends, as long as I showed them I could make good decisions and be responsible for my actions. Of course back in the '70s most people still smoked and seat belts were an abstract concept. Public safety campaigns and liability lawsuits had yet to grip America, and PlayStation/Xbox/Nintendo and the Internet weren't even blips on the short-attention-span horizon. "Disorder" probably meant you got the wrong hamburger at Dairy Queen. One could easily dismiss those days as a "different time." And certainly technology and medical science and communication and safety standards have changed dramatically, but kids are still kids. Their basic needs haven't changed. I'm just a dad, not a sociologist, but it seems to me that for healthy development, kids need equal doses of responsibility and freedom. Get rid of one and you're asking for trouble. Get rid of both and it's going to be a bumpy ride. And yet that's exactly what I see a lot of parents doing today. They eagerly do all they can to smooth out life's troublesome potholes for their kids, while at the same time micromanaging their every move. As writer Hara Estrof Marano put it, parents try to "engineer a risk-free world for children." In 2004, Marano wrote an article for Psychology Today called "A Nation of Wimps." Her book by the same title is due out in 2007 (nationofwimps.com). I'm not one to pay much attention to so-called experts, but I think Marano is onto something.
"Cell phones function as an eternal umbilical cord," she said during a recent phone interview, "and it's all so misguided. Kids aren't allowed the freedom that allows them to build their own identities. They can't make their own mistakes, and so they miss out on critical life skills. When something difficult arises, there's mom or dad on the cell phone trying to fix everything." Parental anxiety is natural, said Marano, but too often horribly misplaced. "Anxious parents turn their kids into projects." And you can dispense with the notion that it's the guilt-ridden working parent who's most at fault. "Often the at-home parent is the one freaking out. A lot of moms and dads, especially in affluent homes, leave the work force to focus on their kids. They apply their professional training to parenting and try to turn their kids into résumés on two legs."
Or worse, into patients. "I think it's appalling how many parents are willing to have their kids labeled 'diseased' because they think it will help them academically," Marano continued. "It all centers around giving their kids more time to take tests, especially the big test—the SAT." She says a lot of parental anxiety involves getting children into college. "When kids do not function well in that narrow academic groove, parents try to give them an edge or have the rules bent for them." She also says kids are often labeled defective so early that they don't fight it; they internalize that something's wrong with them. They see themselves as weak.
Marano has plenty of research and experience to back up her findings. Me? Just my daily observations. You see them at the playground, at the mall, across the backyard fence, at PTA meetings—moms and dads who hover or praise or scold to the point of annoyance or irrelevance. Those parents who are so consumed by their kids' security and self-esteem and academic standing that you wonder if those poor children will ever have a chance to speak out or grow up or just be themselves. Of course it's our duty to protect our kids and help them succeed. But at what cost? The last thing we should do is project our sometimes irrational anxieties onto them, like the mother who recently told me she wasn't sure if her child was allergic to peanuts but she had the medication for it just in case. You know, all kids are different, but they're tough. They're built to survive, and sometimes we forget that. We need to step back and remember the world for the beautiful place it is. And let kids be

by George he has it!

Aaron has memorized his poem for tomorrow! You don't know how nervous I was about only having 5 days to learn it but he did it! Thank goodness.
He played over at Dylans for a while tonight and when he came home he told me that he wanted to make a teepee like Dylan did. I had to break his heart and tell him that he had picked the poem but next time he could do that. That seemed to make him feel better.

She's learning!

Tonight after Kaylee was done practicing piano she climbed up into bed to read her book. I told her that she was starting to do a lot better on her recital song (still has a way to go but she is getting better) she told me that she is starting to figure the notes out and she was the first one to know a half note in her music class! I said "honor choir?" and she said "no music, I still have to take music class at school." I said "oh" while giving her my matter of fact look. She said she was the first to know the repeat sign also and she said a few other notes that I have already forgotten. I told her that was great and that she is very smart and it is apparent that she is learning. She just smiled at me looking very proud of herself.
She is such an awesome child. I'm not sure if I tell you that enough internet friends. I have a feeling that most of my blogs are complaint blogs, but I am going to work on that. I am going to try to be extra positive on things and less negative on how things drive me crazy! (Aaron is also an awesome child, I might complain that he has some devil in him but really most do, I just tell you his stories because they are funny)

Kaylee made supper

The kids told me this morning that they wanted waffles for supper. We love having breakfast for supper....one of our favorite meals! So when I called this afternoon to make sure Matt was up I reminded him that they wanted waffles for supper. When I got home from the gym Kaylee was standing at the counter making the waffles! She did an awesome job on them also. I ate 2! (well maybe more like 1 and 1/2 because number 2 was the end of the batter)
I hope she enjoys cooking. I was trying to remember when I started to cook when I was a child. I didn't make anything extravagant and I think my specialty was goulash but I did cook....I just hated it so when Matt and I got together I let him take it all over because he loves it. Anyway I hope she will enjoy this and expands on her horizon!

The heat is on!

Kaylee's piano recital is approaching fast and she is not that great at the song she has to do (Away in a Manger) I have been making her practice more now that there is this but I am nervous because we will be on vacation for a week with no piano access so she will miss out on it for that amount of time. Tonight she had to practice for an hour (to her dismay) and I sat beside her making sure she was doing it correctly. Not that I know how to play the piano because I don't but I do know when you are to use the right hand and when you are to use the left hand. She has made some mistakes but I brought it to her attention and she started over. It became apparent to me that I am going to have to sit beside her when she practices but she doesn't realize when she makes a mistake and she continues on. By the end of our hour she was getting a little faster, you could at least tell what song she was playing (or attempting to play)

Now for Aaron, the heat is on him also. His teacher passed out his homework assignment almost 2 weeks but for some strange reason we never received it. I don't believe Aaron hid it because he loves homework but he could have misplaced it somewhere. So last Thursday I emailed his teacher and asked why he didn't have homework. Much to her dismay she didn't realize that Aaron didn't have his homework and sent home another packet for him. He had 3 choices, build a teepee, recite a poem, or learn 5 facts about native Americans. All of which seem a little difficult when you only have 5 days to complete. He chose to recite the poem. We have been working our behinds off memorizing this poem. Tonight he actually recited it by heart and only needed a little bit of help. I am sure that is how it will be on Wednesday also but at least tried for the amount of time that we had to work with!

allergies

I forgot to mention that I forgot my allergy meds at home! I sneezed and had a running/plugged nose all weekend! As soon as I walked in the door this after noon the first thing I did was take the pill. It has helped a little bit but I am still plugged up! Mental note to self........DON"T EVER FORGET ALLERGY PILLS AGAIN!!!!

GS Camp Weekend

This was mine and Kaylees big GS camping weekend. We went out to Whispering Cedars for a fun filled weekend that consisted of cold weather, archery, cold weather, 9 year olds cooking meals, cold weather, night hikes, cold weather, nature hikes, and more cold weather! Thankfully Diann at work gave me a pair of long johns to help me stay nice and warm and for the most part it worked for. There was definite moments of cold shivers but over all I was ok. Naturally any time you get 13 girls that are 9 and 10 years old together you have crying and fighting but over all they did good. It was a pretty pleasant weekend with them. They did all the cooking which made me very nervous. Me being who I am, I have a very hard time eating things that others have touched so there was a few times I cringed, like when they wiped their nose with their hands (or worse that I refused to see) but when you get hungry enough you will eat anything I guess. I just blocked all the bad germs out of my mind and ate. My wonderful daughter did my dishes for me (all the girls do their own, we have it set up in 3 tubs.....soapy water, then bleach water, then rinse water) she knows that I can't put my hands in dish water that has food particles in it...the thought of it makes me sick, but lovely Kaylee knows how I am and she did my dishes after every meal except the one time I slid in front of everyone and did mine first. (oh the issues I have) Thank you for that Kaylee.....you are my favorite daughter! Oh and the worst part of the trip.....there was no hot water! Not sure if I would have taken a shower anyway because the showers were extremely scary! Crawling with daddy-long legs and goodness knows what else but I might have attempted it.....no hot water though and showering in a building with no heat, I refuse to do that! We all just stayed nice and smelly. No heat in the cabins either! Thanks again Diann for the long johns....I might has died had I not had them!
Over all it was an awesome weekend but I don't want to do it again in the cold weather! Not for me! I hate being cold.

Punishment

Aaron is still not liking his punishment. He tried calling Matt tonight to see if the end could be changed to today rather then Monday.....he told him no so again Aaron hung up on him. Poor kid.....I sure hope this will do him some good and he will learn a valuable lesson from it.

Baptismal Class

Tonight Matt and I attended the baptism class so we can become Annalese's Godparents.
I was told that the Deacon would put the class on but I was pleasantly surprised when Father Bob walked in. He captivates me when he speaks. He is almost enchanting.....no he is enchanting! I just love listening to him speak. He makes you feel like he is speaking directly to you......I just can't say enough nice things about him.
Anyway the class went great. I learned more in this class then the 2 that I attended before combined. I learned that the term "limbo" is actually an opinion. Saint Peters name was actually a nickname. I don't recall what Father said his real name was so I can't tell you that. He told us all about the white cloth the candle and the oil and what they symbolize (and the oil is Olive Oil combined with something else that is blessed)
Matt asked Father Bob what exactly are the roles of a Godparent? And he summed it up as a good person who lives by Gods laws and is there for the Godchild in Religious ways. He was a lot more indepth about it but that was what I got from it.

Matt called me a little bit ago and talked to me about it a little. He is questioning our choices in Godparents for our children. Not that we didn't pick good people because of course we did but do they really know what they got into when they accepted this responsibility? I know that Kris knows what my wishes are if anything were to happen to me but do the rest of them know? Good question......maybe Matt and I need to inform the Godparents of our children what we expect to see if they are up to the challenge......or maybe we should leave well enough alone, I don't believe there is anything that can be done if they decide that they don't want to be that responsible in their religious upbringing. Maybe Matt and I need to step up teach our children everything that we possibly can while we are still here and can do it!

I have a great idea!

Aaron told me that he came up with a great idea. He didn't tell me what it was, he just called his dad and talked to him. I didn't pay much attention to it but the next thing I know Aaron hung up the phone and walked to the bedroom. I went in there and told him to get his pajamas on. I helped him up and we started to put on his pj's. He told me that his dad didn't like his great idea and it made him sad, so I asked him what was your great idea. He informed me that his great idea is that little kids can't get punished. I smiled at him a little and told him that if he wouldn't have broke my window he wouldn't be being punished right now. He is not doing very well on his punishments! He has until Monday and then he home free with his punishment!

Getting Enough Sleep?

According to this article I get plenty of sleep....time to stop complaining about it I guess.

Getting Enough Sleep?

KXAS-TV
11:43 p.m. CST November 6, 2006
A good night?s sleep can be hard enough to come by, but many people might have a harder time than others. One in six Americans suffers from a sleep disorder, experts said. An eight-question quiz called the Epworth Sleep Quiz can help pinpoint sleep problems.

"If you do score high on it, you want to find out why you're falling asleep during the day when you're trying to do other things," sleep expert Robert Greene said.

Ellen Welch took the test and found out she has a chance of falling asleep reading, watching television or even stopped in traffic. Discovering she had a problem was the first step to getting good sleep. "I need to do as much as I can to reduce the stress in my life," she said.

Awards night

Tonight was awards night for soccer and golf. What a fun time we had. The kids went with their team mates and when their team name was called out they came out running to go to their seats. Then they did a little video of highlights over the season and pictures of the teams. Then came out the entertainment. He was from Oklahoma and he was an illusionist. He was pretty good too. Kept the kids entertained. The very end of the show he litereraly put himself into a balloon. While in the balloon he did the "Chicken Dance" (I decided it would be inappropriate for me to sing my ending to the song so I sang it in my head instead of outloud)

Oh my goodness!

My sweet "angelic" son broke my window! For some strange reason he decided to throw a rock and it hit and broke. Thankfully it is double paned and only broke the outside pane so that gives us a little bit of time to get it fixed. I was told "boys will be boys" is this really an excuse? Hmmmm makes me wonder!

new TV

Matt got his TV tonight. He has it all put set up and is messing with it to make sure it is perfect. We really didn't need a new TV but Matt really wanted one. Sometimes you have to give in.

Family photo

This afternoon we had our family pictures taken. I think they all turned out good. We should get them back in the next couple weeks and we will see how good they are.

Prayer request

Please pray for Christi and her family. They have suffered a great loss. Please keep Austin and Cody in extra special prayer.

Woman dies in fatal wreck on I-20
By MITCH MITCHELL
STAR-TELEGRAM STAFF WRITER
ARLINGTON — A Grand Prairie woman was killed Friday when the Mini Cooper she was driving collided with an 18-wheeler in the 800 block of Interstate 20.

Robin Morgan, 49, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident at 4:35 p.m., according to authorities.

Morgan was driving the car east on Interstate 20 approaching the Collins Street exit when she attempted to switch lanes, but the lane was already occupied by another vehicle, a police report said.

Morgan swerved back into her lane, but the car veered across the lanes and collided with an 18-wheeler before coming to rest on the outside shoulder of the freeway, the report said.

The collision was under investigation Saturday and no charges had been filed, the report said. This was the 28th traffic fatality in Arlington this year.

What a wasted morning!

Susan and I decided to do a garage sale this morning. We got everything set up a few days ago and today was the day for it to start. What a bust! I got a grand total of $3.00 and Susan got $2.00! 4 hours for a total of $5.00! What a bust.

it worked!

TMS

Matt and Aaron went out to the truck race at TMS today. He pulled him out of school early and they headed that way so they could watch qualifying and then the race. He just called and told me they had a great time and this time Aaron didn't fall asleep.
They got an extra treat while being there......Lightening McQueen, Tow Mater, and Sally from Cars was there! Matt told me he got some picture so tomorrow I should be able to put them on the blog for you to see! (if it will work for me)

Girl Scouts

We had our meeting tonight at the High School. They put on a play of SleepyHollow. It was pretty good. Kaylee really enjoyed it and afterwards the girls went behind the scenes for a tour. It was fun. She learns so much from girl scouts! What an awesome program this is! The best thing I ever put her in.

Happy Birthday

Matt turns another year older today and no I didn't forget!

What a big boy I have

Aaron went and seen Dr. Young this week. It was a check up on his allergy meds so we can get refills. Matt mentioned that he still gets bloody noses on a regular basis and was wondering what else we could do to help him. Dr. Young ordered a new allergy test for him to have. This young I guess all they do is blood tests. Or it could be just Dr. Young I have no idea we just do what the wonderful doctor tells us to do. He went yesterday to get his blood test (he goes in next week for the results) I had been telling him that they were going to take blood from his arm and that it doesn't really hurt and that I knew he could be a big boy and sit there for it.
Now that I gave you the back ground to what has been happening with the doctor let me tell you how the blood test went........Matt took him after school and when I got home they were home. He had a green bandage on his arm and as soon as he saw me he told me that he never cried and the only time it hurt was when they stuck the needle in! I asked him how much blood they took. He told me "a lot, more then they take from you." I laughed at him. He then informed me that he had to wear his green bandage for 7 days. I laughed at that also. This kid is so funny!

Kaylee is officially smarter then me! In the math department that is. She sat down beside me because she had a question on science that she just couldn't find the answer to. I helped her find it and then she pulled out her math paper. It was a funky looking paper with a bunch of squares that had things missing that you have to fill in. I told her that I hoped she didn't need help with that because it looked difficult. She laughed at me and told me it was long division and that she didn't need help. Thank goodness for that. She explained it to me and I pretended like I knew what she was talking about but just between me and you I had no idea!!!!!! YIKES!

Huge news and I'm not so sure if its good

Today we found out that our company has been sold. Very sad but I guess what it comes down to is they are ready to move on. The company has been in their care for a very long time and they are ready to try bigger and better things. Can't blame them.
The company that bought us is supposedly not going to change anything.....at least for now. (No one can promise anything in the future.) This company buys companys that are doing well and make them better. Make a huge investment out of them and they have 2 other chemical companys that they have had a long time. Those are all good signs right. Lots of employees are scared to death but we were all told to keep a positive look on all of it. Thats all we can do right? If you worry yourself about it everything will be worse.
So I am going to keep my head up and I will keep you posted on things that are happening.

no pictures again

I have no idea what is going on with this but it will not let me post any photos......I will try again tomorrow.
