Spring Break

We have been out of town the past couple of days. Spring break at school so we took a mini vacation up to Beavers Bend our favorite place to camp. (pictures to follow this post) This is how it went......
Thursday......rainy and cold
Friday........rainy and cold
Saturday......rainy and cold
Sunday........cold
Monday........beautiful
Tuesday.......cold
Wednesday......the day we leave to come home......BEAUTIFUL!!!!
I guess that's just the way it goes sometimes. We didn't canoe like we normally do but we did go on the paddle boats and we did a lot of hiking. The kids met a couple of friends which kept them nice and entertained because most of the time I had to stay in the heated camper if we weren't actually doing something. Of coarse we went to the train (Aarons favorite activity there).
The showers were HORRIBLE. Normally they are ok there. But this time I think they forgot to turn the hot water heater on. The first shower was barely tolerable, the 2nd shower was a little to cold and the 3rd shower I had to lean my head in to get my head wet and then shampoo it, then put my head back in to rinse it.....I didn't take another shower until I got home. I can't handle a cold shower, it can ruin my entire day. Like I have said a million times "I don't do well when I am cold"
Jack had a miserable time. He doesn't like to be on a leash, he refuses to go to the bathroom when he is on a leash which makes him even more miserable and he doesn't like all the strange people. They bother him. He loves to go on hikes but hates water and won't go through it if you come a stream. Eventually he did but believe me, he was not happy. At one point Matt had him on a rock so i could take a few pictures and we couldn't get him off of the rock to continue our hike because he had to go through water. Matt had to carry him across (who is the dumb one in that!)
All in all we had a good time but this was not our best trip. We did make the best of it though.

does this seem right?

Yesterday Aaron and I took his scripts to CVS to get filled. They told me that it would be a 2 hour wait so Aaron and I left.
Two hours later I go to pick up the meds and they aren't ready. It says there was an insurance problem. I asked what phone number they have in the computer and they gave me my home number. Then I asked why I was not called in the 2 hours that they had the prescription so that it could get taken care of and I would have to wait even longer when I came to pick it up. The cashier said to me "well Mrs. Hansen we have been really busy." Can you believe that, they have been really busy. Am I not a customer? Are they not suppose to service me? I told that was "no excuse."
I was very angry with the CSV pharmacy. They show one the commercials how they aren't your regular pharmacy.....if that is the case then I think I will be going back to Walgreens.
they ended up putting a rush on his meds but it still took a good 20 minutes and a very dissatisfied customer.

Happy birthday Kay

Today is her 12th birthday. I can not believe it. It seems like just yesterday I at the hospital with the little angel. Wondering when we were going to get to take her home. Time totally flies by!

Who doesn't like peanut butter?

When I picked Aaron up from piano yesterday Ms. Pat had given him a Kit Kat. Aaron being the respectful child that he is took the candy and told her thank you. After he got into the car he asked me if there was peanut butter in Kit Kats. I told him that there wasn't. (For some strange reason this child of mine doesn't like peanut butter......that has to be unamerican. Who in their right mind doesn't like peanut butter....it is wonderful!)He opened the package and took a bite of the Kit Kat and he said "This is DELISH! I love Kit Kats, they are my new favorite candy bar!"This kid is so much like his mother......except in the peanut butter department....I love peanut butter!

Are you kidding me.....what will they think of next?

For all you lazy Valentine gift givers here is the perfect gift. I'm pretty sure you don't even have to get out of your car, just hang the money out and let them throw a basket to you!

Look at this tree

I drive this tree almost every day on my way to work. I just love it. I certainly don't want this tree because I can imagine all the bugs inside of it but it sure is pretty.

the Statue of Liberty

I made Eileen pull into a scary parking lot so i could take this picture. We locked the doors and I shot away.
I'm really not sure what this guy is promoting other then freedom but I love seeing it!

FYI

Jackie seems to be doing ok. I was very anxious to get home today to make sure everything was alright with him after the party. I will keep you posted on how he is doing.

Sarahs zoo

Sarahs house is turning into a zoo. Or maybe a pet store. 2 dogs, a fresh water fish tank and a salt water fish tank and now a lizard! I am sure there is going to be more to come!
We had a great time looking at all the creatures after Aarons birthday party today.

Shenaganz

Aaron had his birthday party at Shenaganz. The kids had so much fun and the service was excellent! I am totally impressed. Our servers were fantastic! Good for them for actually liking kids and making my birthday boy feel even more special then he was already felling (does that make sense?) They played 2 games of laser tag, then went back to the party room and had pizza then cake and then they went to the arcade and played games there. They were so tuckered out after the laser tag that they had to eat and drink and rest just to feel up to playing the games. It was so much fun. Pretty sure this party Aaron will never forget.
